Hello! I am 32 and TTC #1 after being on the pill for 13 years. I finished my last bcp pack in May and am currently in a holding pattern waiting for my cycles to start again so I can get down to business! I just started fertility acupuncture and hope that helps get things started. I just read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and plan on temping and checking CM once my cycles start again. I look forward to getting to know everyone here at BnB!

Welcome! I just started Acupuncture this month too! I had been on BCP for about a year, and when I came off it took about 3-4 months before my cycles stabilized again, so here's hoping it doesn't take quite that long for you! I would also recommend going out and getting some OPKs (Ovulation Predictor Kits), as temping only really lets you know when you've ovulated, not when you're in your fertile window.

You are literally me 4 years ago. I started trying for my first when I was 31, almost 32, after having been on the pill for 13 years. Have faith! It's not a bad position to be in at all. I came off the pill had normal cycles right away and got pregnant the 2nd cycle. I had a lovely, healthy pregnancy and a fairly easy, straightforward natural birth. My daughter is about to turn 3 and we'll be trying for #2 next year (when I'll be 35, about to turn 36).
Finally had my first period independently yesteray after stopping BCP in May! I have NEVER been so excited to get my period. I hope things will be more on track from how on. I ordered a digital OPK, got my microscope and basal thermometer ready to go. I am READY to get down to some baby makin' business!
