Books 4 year old

My son will be 4 in February, he has a lot of books but I feel he needs more story books rather than picture books with a few words.
He has a lot of Julia Donaldson books but wanted some recommendations of books from other authors please?

My daughter loves the Mog books by Judith kerr, same author as The tiger who came to tea,if you know that one.

My 4 year old is very into horrid henry atm so I'm getting him the horrid henry early readers set.

Thanks for your replies, we have some Mog books he loves them. I will have a look into the horrid Henry ones x

i think lots of different characters have early readers now. I'm sure i've seen batman ones.

My ds is really into books and while he loves all his Julia Donaldson, albie, Winnie the witch books....he's now quite into us reading him proper books. So far we've done the first Harry potter and the first how to train your dragon novel and he's getting some Roald dhal for Xmas.
