A couple of my recent faves are
The bell jar - Sylvia Plath
Thd curious incident of the dog in the night time - Mark Haddon
American Gods - Neil Gaimen
When God was a rabbit - Sarah Winman
and the shopaholic series, by Sophie Kinsella.. such easy reading but I love it!

So many book good recommendations on this thread, im gonna be busy for a while :)

As for crime/thriller books, has anyone read Mark Billinghams books? I read sleepyhead a few months ago, which I enjoyed but didnt feel gripped by.

ALSO, ive had a Karin Slaughter book on my book shelf for ages... Its called Triptych, i think.. has anyone read it?

Wow I love this thread! Just spent the last couple of hours reading through it! I used to LOVE reading, before LO was here I'd stay up til silly o'clock in the morning to finish books! But havnt read much since having LO as not really had the time or been too tired! I've read fifty shades when they first came out, I enjoyed reading them but did find it very repetitive! I've just started reading bared to you but only about a chapter in! I've just gotten a kindle so am going to get into reading again because reading this thread has reminded me of how much I absolutely love it! I have wrote down all the recommendations from this thread and can't wait to try them!

I'm currently working my way through the Morganville vampire series. I'm on book 8 now but I have read others in between too. There seems to be loads of these books, 13 or 14 I think?

Has anyone read the foundation series by Isaac Asimov? There are 7 books in the series?
Are they any good?
I don't usually read scifi but am thinking about trying them.
I can send them to anyone who wants them x
