I know every child is different, some don't like bouncers or swings at all, some prefer one over the other and some like both. I am thinking I want to get a swing but I'm wondering if I need a bouncer too. Space is limited as I live in the city.

Here are the ones I am thinking about

Swings

Bouncers

or

Which does your baby prefer and if you had to buy only one, which would you choose?

I say both lol We use the bouncer everyday and the swing was put away for several weeks, but here the past 2-3 weeks its how I get my shower lol I put Haley in it outside the bathroom and she'll glady play and babble while I get ready

oh and I have

I live in a city too and space is very limited. I have a bouncy chair but if I had the space I would definitely have both. My friend has both and my DD loves the swinging chair when we go over there, really settles her.

I say both..
Aliyah likes her swing more to relax in but she loves the bouncer to go abit hyper lol x

I bought a 2nd hand swing becuse I heard alot of babies dont like them.
She use to like it at first, and would sleep in there. But now she is rarely in it.
I am selling it on to buy a bouncer cos she is much more active now.

both if you can but if I had to chose I'd say bouncer as we got a lot more use out of that (Hannah loved the bouncer, sometimes it was the only thing that would settle her)

My kids all really liked both at different stages, I would suggest getting a travel swing like the 2nd posted that can fold up so you can move it out of the way and also getting the bouncer too. But that way it isn't taking up as much space because both of those can easily be put away

We have a bouncer and for the first few weeks it was enough, but now shes been getting fussy and a swing calms her down so much (my aunt and uncle have one and as soon as shes in it shes fine)...so it really depends on the baby...

I have both I have a graco sweetpeace swing but he hates it soo much biggest wast of £180 ever but he loves his bouncer so much! So much that I'm buying him another one for Xmas

We have both, at the minute she isn't really into either, she will sit in the swing for a few minutes but then gets restless, and same with the bouncer, though that has a vibrate option too which she endures for slightly longer! Am hoping it's just because she is a little young for them and that maybe she will like them more as she grows a bit!!!

I have both, but if I had to choose I would say bouncer as it is more portable and much easier to move around the house as I get jobs etc done. The swing is kept in one place as it is heavy!

Bouncer.. Kian hates his swing, i paid 70£ for one and its been used once if that xx

I'd say both, we use the swing to help lo get to sleep but he prefers the rocker when he's awake as its more upright, if you have a space issue you can buy travel swings, we have one that we take when we visit my in-laws. :flower:

We have the Fisher-Price Papasan Cradle Swing - My Little Lamb that you are considering and I have to say it is by far my favourite baby purchase! You can't compare this to the average swing. It is DELUXE! My LO has loved this swing since day 1 and almost 3 months later is still loving it. He loves the side to side 'rocking' motion and just recently we have also used the traditional 'back and forth' motion. Almost every adult that has seen it has commented on how they wish their was an 'adult sized' one, as it's so comfy looking. I can't stress enough that this is a must buy!

I'd easily give up all our other pieces of gear for this one item. It's a sanity saver!

I'd buy both there's pros to both of them. The swing he started using right when he was a newborn and still uses it. But the bouncer he just recently started using it and he seems to enjoy it. So I couldn't decide. If I HAD to choose, probably the swing though :flower:

we had both but i voted swing as my lo hated her bouncer she wouldnt stay in it longer than a minit without moaning, but her swing she loved sat for ages playing even fell asleep init alot of the time when she was quite small.

These two a completely different and serve different purpose, at least in my daughter's opinion :) Isabella would never sleep in the bouncer and she just looks around (well used to look around, she now jumps out of it :) But at first, I would just put her in her bouncer chair and wash dishes or clean up, she loved to look. A swing.. is what saved us and gave me time to shower or eat. We had this swing https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3090973 that you're considering. This one is definitely a miracle :) I didn't really sleep/eat/showered for the first couple months until I bought this thing and Isabella only slept on me, but then within minutes she passed out in her swing and it was a great great relief :)
