Ok - is this too out there.

Indiana as registered name, but Indy as used name.

Do you think boy or girl? x

In my area it's a girl name I couldn't imagine a boy called Indy x

Unusual reply here, but we called our dog Indy and he's a boy, but everyone assumes he's a girl! We were going along the lines of Indiana Jones, Indy.

I immediately think of it as a boy name because of 'Indiana Jones'. :flower:

Dont like it for either tbh but would associate it as a girls name x

It's a girls name around here, I know of 2 with the name, have never heard of it used for a boy :)

I immediately think Indiana Jones as well but if I met an Indiana in real life, I'd assume girl. I think it's kinda cool for a boy with the Indiana Jones connection but still wouldn't actually name my child it.

I know a little boy who has this name/nickname combo. I think boy when I hear the name. I think it's cute! For the record I live in the PNW.

I wanted Indi for a girl so that nn is think girl but Indiana I'd think boy

Indy sounds like a boy nickname to me, but Indiana made me think of a girl because of the "anna" sound... And I've never read or seen the Indiana Jones stuff I guess!

I honestly thought girl at first, but that's probably because the only two times I've heard Indy, they were girls :)
