Boys names so difficult to choose

We're struggling so much with boys names that we've got to that stage where we're both kind of hoping it's a girl to make it easier to name her.

Anyways we have a few names I'd like your opinion on:
3 Names we have decided we like although still no 100%:
Max
Joseph
Alex

Names I like but he doesn't:
Matthew
James/Jamie
Daniel
Thomas (he said yes, now says no)
Jake
Jack
Joshua

And today I have 100% fallen in love with Theo

Names he likes but I don't:
William

The middle name is more or less chosen so he would be
________ Pete Hatton

So what do you think?
You see the kind of names we like (or don't)

I think you need at least a 2 syllable first name if not 3 to go with Pete. If you went with Peter there would be more flexiblility with the first name. I like Max as a NN....Is there a name it is shortened from?

I don't like Peter so we'd keep it a Pete
We were just thinking of keeping Max short but DH likes Maximus
I agree though that 2 syllables sounds better with Pete

So Elizabeth is def 100% the middle name.

But there are a 1000 other girls names we like too.

they are all lovely boys names but i totally love the name joshua, always loved that name and if i had a son i would want to call him that only problem is my oh doesnt like it but i think that it is a very lovely name.

Alex and Joseph I really like & would go well with the middle name. Although as someone already mentioned you need a slightly longer first name, as middle name only one syllable, might sound a bit strange.

I agree, you need 2 syllables in the first name if you're having Pete as a middle name.

I like Joseph out of your choices, you like similar names to me I think so here some that I considered:

Aw, all of your girls names are lovely as well! I'd find it really difficult to choose between those but I guess if I had to, Isla would probably get my vote. But Eva and Annabelle are both gorgeous as well.

I like them all, but Manhattan came straight to my mind with Isla Hatton. I also like the name, but it doesn't go with our surname.

I love all your boys names. Joshua is on our list, and def if we have two boys. I also like Jack, Joseph, Alex and Matthew. I would say

Joseph Pete Hatton

or

Matthew Pete Hatton
