We have found girls names far easier to think of - even uncommon ones that we love. But with boys we are having a real hard time - we've been through babybooks, the internet, my sister took her nursery register out on her lunch break and phoned me to read out all the boys names and still no joy!

We have though, half decided that if we don't agree on one fairly soon we would use both our fathers names. His dad is Terry and mine is John. We both actually like the name Terry - it's not a 'faddy' name...is it?

However....lol...fussy mare that I am...I can imagine a little toddler called Terry perfectly well (I think it has a 'cheeky chappy' sound to it), but calling a baby Terry doesn't sound right to me? OH agrees. What do you all think?
There is the option of having Terry and John around the other way but I wouldnt be happy with that, for obvious reasons :dohh: xx

I think Terry is a nice name. Definitely not "faddy". I've only known a few people with this name and all of them are very sucessful (and handsome).

You could call baby Terry, Terry Berry or come up with a random nickname for him (you'd be surprised at all the nicknames that randomly come up after you have him). Or you could call him TerTer...not sure just trying to think of something that sounds "young" for Terry.

He won't be a "baby" for long! I have a cousin called Terry and I really like the name.

My OH's best mate is called terry & gets called Tez or Teza most of the time.

If you name the baby Terry John you could always call him TJ.

I don't really know what "faddy" means... lol... but i think the name Terry works well for a baby.

What about naming the baby Jonathan Terry? I think Jonathan sounds really cute for a baby/toddler... & can be shortened to John or Johnny (eventually the name John Terry wont have negative associations).

I think Terry is cute for a baby. But what are the girls' names you like, maybe someone here can come up with something you're less unsure about?

or call him TJ (terry john) TJ is cute for a baby i think

Aww thanks ladies!! I'm liking the TJ thing - never even thought of that!x
