Hi Ladies...I am 15 weeks today and have been getting some mild contractions... this is my 4th baby and I dont remember getting them this soon before, it is normal to get them this soon? Getting a little concerned..I had a cone biopsy on my cervix for cancerous cells about 4 years ago, so Im worried about going into preterm labor.

This is my second and I have been getting them since about 16 weeks, so I don't think it's too early if this is your 4th. My mom had 4 as well and she said hers started sooner and sooner each time. She said she was uncomfy the whole time with my sister, her fourth baby.

Ok, that makes me feel a little bit better.. I just woke up not having a good day at all today, stomach was bugging me in the morning, then I was at a conference at my sons school and my stomach got tight all the sudden, so I was pretty freaked out, and its been on and off since then.. hopefully it goes away, its my daughters bday today and have plans later to go swimming..maybe the water will help

Well that's good. If they start hurting I would be concerned, or if they are in a patter or not sporadic. Your uterus probably knows the drill at this point and knows to start practicing already!

I have an "excitable" uterus as my midwife calls it. Once the BHs start, they become very bothersome. Any kind of stimulation can trigger them. Having to pee, too much walking, baby moving a lot, having gas, have to poop (TMI)... it's not a concern at all, some women just have very active uteruses.

Yeah, Im hoping thats all thats going on with me...Im trying to drink a bunch of water, thinking maybe I havent drank enough in the past couple days, I know that can cause it too.. if they get worse I will def call the Dr.

My dr says I have an irritable uterus as well. I started having BH at 17 weeks with my first baby. They were worse if I was on my feet for long periods of time. I did end up going into preterm labor at 35 weeks and had her at 36 wks. She was perfectly healthy though :flower:

I had my son at 37 weeks, started contracting at 36 weeks. He was little, 6 pounds, 0 ounces, and 18.5 inches, but perfectly healthy!

I've been noticing significant tightening, and can feel my uterus going rock hard since twelve weeks, definitely nt too early for BH. If they are happening really frequently or becoming more uncomfortable you may want to get a urine sample dipped, mine increase when I have a uti, but I have no other symptoms to speak of. I also find slight dehydration effects the frequency of them. Totally normal though hunny.Xxx

This is my 3rd pregnancy, I started braxton hicks as well around 14 weeks, I was really worried about it until my sister who was pregnant yet with her twins at the time told me that she started them at 8 weeks (her 4th pregnancy) and that she rushed to the doctor but her doctor said that with each pregnancy you may experience them earlier and earlier and it's perfectly normal.

Have you gotten a cervical exam yet? I would get one asap, especially if you've had a cone biopsy because 15 weeks is too early for braxton hicks.
