breast feeding someone elses baby?**on now**

I would HATE Caitlyn being breastfed by someone else. I wouldn't feel comfortable breast feeding someone elses baby either.

what about milk donation? or feeding her banked milk instead of formula?

just interested thats all....



seems the thing people have the issue with is the boob itself? another women pysically breast feeding your baby??

i wonder if thats cause of the sexualization of breasts in the western world?

this whole thing really interests me lol

I wouldn't want anyone else to physically breast feed Caitlyn because of how much we bond when I'm feeding her. I wouldn't want her to get that from anyone else. Donated milk is fine. You're right, it is just the breast I have a problem with. I think that's purely a bonding issue though.

i wonder if the people who feed other peoples babies get the motherly bond or if its just a 'job' does that make sense? just kinda doing the deed semi detached from the situation?

ive found when ever ive held a baby thats currently being breast fed they look for boob.... and i havnt ever fed any of them lol

Caitlyn used to do that when she was new and didn't know that mummy was the only one with milk. I guess it's just a paranoia thing. No one wants to give their baby a chance to love anyone else more than they love them.

I wonder about the attachment and bond too. My SIL adopted a baby and bf her because she wanted to bond with her. I don't get that!

i'd do it direct if it was a medical need.
I'd prefer Ted to be given it expressed if he needed someone elses but then he wont take a bottle very often so he'd maybe need it direct.

Perhaps I'd have to ask the woman not to look down at him while feeding...so they didnt bond!

I'ma big sufferer of that paranoia that he'll love someone more than me Toria!!!

I would not trust anybody breastfeeding my baby! What if they had been consuming alcohol, drugs, nicotine etc?
Also I wouldn't breastfeed somebody else's baby - too much of an emotional connection if I say so myself.

I saw two women being interviewed by Lorraine Kelly this morning and she didn't seem disgusted by it - or didn't show it if she was!

Yeah that was a bit strange! Id definetly let Skye be fed expressed milk, but as most others have said, id be a bit uncomfortable it being straight from the boob. I might look into donating some milk myself however, would be good for someone hopefully
