Breastfed babies, weaning, and milk intake?

How do you know a breastfed baby is getting enough milk during weaning? Caitlyn usually has bottle topups but now she's having food she doesn't want them anymore. I'm worried she's having too much food and not enough milk. Last night she had half a jar for dinner, this morning she had half a jar of porridge with some banana mixed with it. She loved it, but again she didn't want her bottle topup and went straight for the boobie!

How will I know if she's not getting enough milk?

Just don't offer any water, juice etc, that way she has to BF when she's thirsty.

BF first and offer solids after - that way she's filling up on milk and not solids, kwim?

Wont that make her stools soft , as water is needed when a baby is eating solids ..or will BF have enough water in it for her ? sorry not sure

Breast milk is the only liquid a baby needs for the first year, because if they're thirsty it changes and is full of water, in fact it's 88% water - it's really clever stuff. If you're going to offer water etc it should only be a couple of sips with the meal.
