breastfeeding and bottle HELP!!

Hey,

just have a question, i've been breast feeding since birth and its all been going fine, about 3days ago i started giving jack a bottle at about 11 at night just so he sleeps a bit longer and when he wakes up i give him some breast and then another bottle, he has 2 or 3bottles in a night, i've still got loads of milk cause i keep leaking and i'm still breast feeding in the day but when i breast feed i feel like hes feeding for over a hour and still wanting more, do you think because i've started giving him a bottle at night my breast milk isnt enough any more, any advise?? anyone else done the same as me.

i feel like after hes had a bottle he feels good when i breast feed he alway still wants more???

No love, I think it is more his age. Remember that his tummy is small, and he is having to work pretty hard for his food now, and it takes him some time to get full. The flow from the breast is much slower than from the bottle, and baby has to work for it more. My son used to feed for hours at that age. I just plopped down on the sofa and would watch tv and make sure I have water close at hand, or whatever I needed. Be patient, it will get better and better as he gets older and stronger!

Ditto above advice

I did combined and managed to go on BF til Amelia was roughly 16 months. You are doing well remember that. it seems hard at the moment and can get confusing too. BF is bloody hard and so much is trial and error but I am 100% with above advice
