Hi there -

I am just curious:

Do breastfeeding women in general produce enough LH that would be picked up on an opk? I always seem to have faint lines on my opk, tonight it was particularly darker and my bbt has been higher the past couple of days (98.7)

Would this indicate that I'm fertile or approaching fertility again?

Or is it common to have high bbt temperature and faint lines on opks while breastfeeding?

I realize a faint test line on an opk is a negative, but it's the fact the tests are picking up the hormone that makes me wonder if I'm not completely infertile.

I'm 5 months postpartum and haven't had a postpartum period yet.

It's common to have a faint second line on a OPK however if the line is faint on an OPK then the test is considered negative. It's only when the second line is the same or darker than the control line that the test is considered positive. This is at least the case for all the OPKs that I have any experience with. The darker tests you have had would to me indicate the potential return of fertility rather than the pressence of the faint lines :)

I can't help with the BBT but will be interested in the answers :) xx

I don't think I've explained that well, damn one handed typing :p
