Breastfeeding is SO painful

I ended up buying the medela contour nipple shield to take a break from the pain. I'm very happy with it, and I think it kept me from giving up. My lactation consultant was having me pump and bottle feed to allow my nipples to heal but pumping was exhausting for me because I have to pump twice for one feeding session (even with the hospital grade pump). So happy with the shield.

We are almost 3 weeks in & it's still painful, but it's getting better every day. Hang in there, it does get better .
