Breastfeeding past 1 year...

I've personally just found that my babies weren't ready to stop at one or younger and luckily I was in a position that I could continue on with it. DD1 self weaned at 3 1/2 while I was nearing the end of my pregnancy with DD2. And DD2 is still at it, nearing the 3 year mark soon. She drinks cows milk but still wants her boo boos for nighttime and naps and the occasional sad spell when she needs extra and I am more than happy to nurture that need while she wants it. But my days are numbered with it and I am grateful for every close snuggle we get because the time goes fast.
