Has anyone had a breech baby and their water broke?

I've had 2 vaginal births. My first my water broke at 37 weeks and I delivered 2 1/2 hours later. My hospital is only 30 minutes away but I'm worried that since they aren't planning on doing a Csection until 39 weeks with my twin pregnancy that my water will break and I won't have time to get there. I know there are many complications that can happen if your water breaks and baby is breech.

Just wondering if anyone else had a situation where their baby was known to be breech and water broke?

My last baby was breech, waters broke and he moved transverse and cord prolapsed. I don't believe this is common but I am glad I was only 5 mins away from my hospital and had read up on what to do as it was really scary. I'd just head straight in if I were you and water breaks even though you'll probably have plenty of time :flower:

Cord prolapse is what I'm worried about. Luckily my husbands work is only 5 minutes away and he can come get me quickly if it happens.

Do you know what type of breech the baby is? (Ie footling, complete, frank). Prolapse is pretty uncommon, though less so with a footling breech. But a frank breech baby has only the same chance of a cord prolapse occurring as a head down baby.

I had a vaginal breach birth with my second, though my water didn't break til just before she was born. She was frank breech and her bum had been engaged for weeks so I was never concerned about a prolapse with her though.

He keeps going back and forth from footling to frank. Baby B is also Breech but A is the one I am most worried about since his sac is on my cervix.

I just had a section last weds with my special breech boy

I was so scared my waters would go I knew 2 weeks prior my section date luckily it didn't happen he was Frank breech and bum fully engaged into my pelvis.

They say breech babies are longer labours so I wouldn't worry but that's earlier said than done, any twinges at all I would just go to hospital Hun, good luck not long to wait x

My waters broke at 37+3 with a footling breech baby, but at that point in time, we had no idea he was breech. :dohh: Within the hour my contractions picked up and got stronger and stronger. His foot was in the birth canal when the midwives finally realised he was breech and I was whisked off for a section. No cord prolapse or anything, but it was all very fast. I'd definitely go at the slightest twinge as suggested above. :hugs:

I'm also worried about this as my twins are breech. I had my DS within 2 and 1/2 hours so hoping I can get to the hospital in time.
I'm hoping to hold out until section date but worried I will go early as third pregnancy.
