Anyone's baby been diagnosed with Bronchogenic cyst (lung cyst) by an ultrasound? I am not pregnant but my niece is and she wants us to adopt her baby. I have done some research online and it appears everything will be fine they just really wont know the extent of it until the baby is born. Other than that he is extremely healthy and all on track. They may or may not have to do surgery as soon as he is born would be nice to know if others are going through this as well. She is due at the end of November.

Thanks

I had a choroid plexus cyst with my son.. born perfectly healthy and normal.. and with this pregnancy now something called a "blakes pouch cyst" which is somewhere on the brain by the cerebellum and had extensive ultrasounds and was assured everything would be fine. I've read that they are diagnosing so many cysts and stuff now because ultrasounds are getting more high tech and women are receieving more. 99% of the time it is nothing to worry about.. although of course you do worry like crazy! Trust what the docs say. And Im sure she will be fine but sorry to hear you worrying.. and sorry I don't have any specific advice to this type of cyst.
