Does anyone know if this is OK, I woke up this morning, I was wearing white pants and I felt really wet like I do sometimes, because I've had a lot of discharge but because my pants were white I noticed it was brown discharge, quite a lot, is it my plug and should I worry? xxx

Probably nothing to worry about but go and get checked out for peace of mind x

it sounds like your mucus plug i heard that if it has blood in it before 36 weeks then you should let your midwife know. I would call just to inform them. But i think as long as your not contracting regularly or having bad cramping then you should be ok

Thanks, well I have had some very bad pains during the last week but nothing regular. I think I will give them a call tomorrow just to be safe. I never get regular contractions but I have had ones so bad I couldn't breathe and the MW said at the time it doesn't sound like normal BH but as they weren't regular and went on their own we didn't do anything, she said call if it happens again like that:shrug:

i would give them a call are they not open today? Just to see what they say. They may want to call you in and check your dialation as losing mucus plug is a sign of dialtion etc.

i thought plug was more of a jelly like substance rather than wet discharge? ive had the odd *slightly* brown tinged 'wet' discharge on/off for a week and was told nothing to worry about, but if it were to become pink/red then call labour ward. Same goes with plug if its yellow/clear no issue but any tinge, head in asap. Have been alot 'wetter' as of late though its getting quite embarrassing :(

I'd call today and if I couldn't get a hold of them I would go in just to be sure--since you're 32 weeks if something were going on then you'd need steroids I think. Hugs, and please keep us updated.

I fell asleep (!) after I posted that, only just got up again and nothing today / no brown and only a tiny bit of discharge so I guess it's OK now?
