brown discharge...

Hi, I'm 5 weeks pregnant and for the past few days I had slight brown/tinge of pink discharge when I wiped... last night I had sex and there was (sorry tmi&#128533 quite alot of brown stringy discharge, I'm still getting this today, enough of it that I have to wear panty liner...I have been having very mild tummy twinges etc....Could this be the start of a m/c? Xxx

I have been having this on and off since 4 weeks. Brown is old blood so it isn't all too worrysome. For me it is a hematoma that bleeds lightly. I do get cramps with each bleed because a hematoma directly irritates the uterus by bleeding.
It would be best to go for an ultrasound. Often progesterone is prescribed for a hematoma and with larger hematomas women often have to go on bedrest.

I had that with DD and she came out fine, so it's not always the end. Call your medical provider just in case. Good luck
