Hi ladies

Does the name Scarlett Webb sound terrible? (surname webb) We would have a middle name but I'm concerned people will always make the connection the book Charlotte's Webb?

I can handle the truth!

I struggle with scarlett and charlotte already, we have heaps of little girls around with these names and I have to consciously think about their name before saying so I don't mix them up. I would feel very embarassed because I am sure I would accidently say charlottes web

I do immediately think charlottes web, but in saying that I actually really like the name and think it flows nicely. It's not like you go around saying the full name anyway, and even if people think charlottes web, I personally don't think thats a bad thing. If its the name you love I would go for it!

I actually didn't think of any association when I read it, but maybe because my maiden name was the same as your surname and one of my cousins has a Scarlett, so it's a name I've heard before iykwim

My mind didn't go to Charlottes web, it was only once you had mentioned it I thought of it, I don't think it matters too much if people do think that anyway. Now if a name made everyone think of a porn star or something you may want to reconsider! I love the name Scarlett by the way
