I'm going back and forth between the cameleon and the buffalo. But that's not my question (but if you can help me decide that would be great! seems they both have equal pro vs cons)
But right now I started thinking about the seat. Some people I talked to didn't like that the seat doesn't lay 180, that you always have that "foot step". (I don't like the bee, it's not an option) How comfortable is that for the baby/child? Is it better for the baby to lay flat? I see so many pictures of babies in that seat, and so many people do buy the bugaboo so it must be OK and comfortable, but I was just wondering about it. I haven't seen anything in any reviews about the seat, so maybe it's less an issue than I think?

I would only be ok with it if I was buying the lie flat pram part for baby to go in first and move into the pushchair part after 6 months.
The weight limit on the two are different, the buffalo goes up to 23kg/50lb which suggests the seat would be bigger and more roomy. Ds outgrew his pushchair really although we do still use it on occasion.
Have you had a play with either of them, I like to know how easy they are to push, fold etc.
Xx

I had a look and go at the Cameleon. They both come with the bassinet, I was wondering about when they're older.
The Buffalo is a bit wider so more suitable for older children, or maybe more roomy and comfy for them.
The Cameleon was quit nice, very easy to push, nice and light to the touch. It's not as low as people say it is, and DH and myself aren't super tall so it's not that big an issue. They guy folded it for me, I didn't even try (I'm so clumsy and didn't want to make a fool of myself). When we go see the buffalo I'll be with DH and we'll be able to see them both together and we'll try the fold. I do like that it's on the heavier side, more sturdy. The Buffalo is also apparently the only stroller approved to hang bags and whatnot on it without falling over (I've seen a pram flip and it's scary! Luckily no baby was inside)

That's actually really handy, my pushchair often falls backwards once I take ds out.
Xx

The buffalo is a beaut, but is very heavy. Lovely for when baby is young but not so great after a few months of lugging it in and out of the car.

The bugaboo seats I've never found a problem at all. I got my first bug when my son was about 5 months old so I have as yet not used the bassinet. But my son loved his bug, perfect to push easy to recline when they want a nap. Perfect all round.

I switched a few times thinking other pushchairs had a niche bugaboo didn't have and always ended up going back to my trusty bug cameleon. The push is genuinely like no other and you get so used to having one hand free when walking along!

Good luck - you won't be disappointed with either but for me the cam has a slight edge over the buffalo

Thank you! Another reason I'm leaning more towards the cam is because it's been in the market forever and the buffalo is pretty much brand new. So obviously they've done something right! I don't want to buy a stroller which in a few years will be discontinued and then I'm stuck.
What niches do you feel other strollers have? And why do you think a cameleon is better than the buffalo? Asides from weight?
Was you son fine with the seat reclined all the way and his legs still in that sitting position?

I have a bugaboo donkey and am absolutely in love with it!! Have had it since ds was born and used it in all different scenarios- on the beach, shopping, walking, trail hikes, big hills, shopping, shopping :haha: We started ds in the bassinet and by 3-4 months he was in the seat reclined. Never had an issue with it laying 180, and ds still likes to recline back (not the full 180-ish way) while drinking from his sippy on long walks :) Oh and when I lay it all the way back, my son LOVES to play with his legs above the handle bar. My friend's daughter does the same thing in their bugaboo and the kids look happy and don't cry so I assume they are totally comfortable in there. Best of luck in your stroller search!

Thanks Bmama, I'm pretty sold on the cameleon. We saw the buffalo and it was much heavier! I felt like I was pushing a shopping cart!
DH likes the Mama's & Papas Sola2, it is a lot cheaper, but I just have this feeling that we'll get more out of the bugaboo. I need to convince him a bit more, even though they both do look like good prams.
Another girl at work told me today she bought the cameleon, which only made me more sure of my choice! Her reasons were the same as mine.
