I have loads of dresses but got out the habit.

I'm desperate to wear my dresses (I'm definitely a flowery girly girl when it comes to dresses) but it ain't really practical when I'm still BF.

Im petrified of labour again

Did you have a difficult birth Maffie? Mine didn't go to plan by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm not scared of it again. If you struggled last time, I would definitely recommend you think about joining a pregnancy yoga class and possibly also doing a HypnoBirthing course. I didn't do the HB course, but I did read the book over and over again. I think because I'm quite experienced with yoga and meditation, the book was enough for me, but maybe if you've not done anything like that before then the course itself would be more useful. Anyway, I can honestly say that my yoga, breathing and HB helped me all the way through the birth ... so much so that when the MW first examined me at the birth centre, she looked at me absolutely shocked and said 'I cannot believe you're 8.5cm dilated. I've never had such a calm patient who's so far advanced.' :happydance: (And no, I'm not pg yet, and defo not TTC - but we would like another baby at some point.)

Dont think i'll be up much later im tired, might watch casualty though.

Ah, good on ya - another Casualty fan. It's the one prog I tape every week. Anything else I watch only if I'm in the lounge. But Casualty ... cannot miss it.

Morning Colsy, I was very girly girl until I gained weight.

Last birth was horrid but mainly because the drugs made my contractions strong from the word go, spinal for theatre failed then they struggled to intubate me. I react badly to being knocked out so im hoping to go natural this time.

I tend to have the tv on as background noise (bad habit) I do love casuaty, always used to watch it when I was at work (ambulance service) gosh I miss that job.

Had my scan, they struggled to measure as baby was lying in funny position but they are fine, I have another scan next week.

Morning all,

Well the trains were great, Chloe was smiling all the way around bless. There were lots (its a miniture railway) but I only took her on one as some of the carriages looked a bit scary, I needed places to hold onto her and to the sides so we chose one that had comfy seats!

Mellie: Good luck with your weight loss goal, any special reason for only 5 weeks?!?

Maffie: :haha: Don't worry, I don't remember what a hangover is either! Glad things were good with the scan :flower: Hope the heat isn't as bad today, I think this summer has been worse than last year for you lovely pg ladies :hugs:

Flora: A football has not graced our screen! I used to love football, not so much anymore. I can't stand it when England plays, they get me really wound up!

Sam: Hope today goes well and nice and quick for you :flower:

Colsy: Is it a sin to say I like Holby City?!! I do like Casulty, I just forget when its on. Plus Nij and I end up recording programmes and watching them later together instead.

Lastly, Chloe slept right through!! :happydance: She only wakes up once usually which I am lucky about I know but I didn't realise until I got up for work and saw her full bottle on the side!

Morning girls,

Well I'm going to take Button to the Drs today as she has this persistent nappy rash I just can't shift. It's been going on a month now and seems to coincide with her cutting teeth, however this weekend she was screaming every time I touched it. I had to clean it by squirting water on from a bulb syringe. It's like there's 2 kinds going on .. she'll get a bit of breakdown of the skin around her minkie in patches and then on her but cheeks, the skin gets really red and then just sloths off like big popped blisters and leaves it red raw. One of my mummy friends said it looks like a yeast nappy rash and in that case she needs meds for it. Blah.

It actually looks a lot better this morning, but this is how it goes, it will *almost* clear up and then all of a sudden it will come back with a vengeance. She has her 9 month check on Wed, but I just don't want to wait that long because it can go to ok to horrid in a matter of hours.

I let her be bare butt as much as poss when shes at home. I'm prepared for her to pee, that's fine, easy enough to clear up, but yesterday she pooped on my white carpet!!! First time she's ever done that. Shes got the bit of the runs too. So yea, Mama was scrubbing carpets last night. Thankfully it came out tho.

:hugs:~ Hope your first day of work isn't too tough for you.

BL ~ Yike re the cot bars! Glad she's ok.

Button likes to sit with her back against them and just bounce back and forward off them lol. She'll do this for like 10 mins at night then go to sleep.

Maffs ~ Glad the scan went well :hugs:

Kte ~ Yay for sleeping thru the night!!! :happydance:

Chaos: Hope they can help sort out her rash, sounds very unpleasent! :flower: Oh dear about the carpets! Is it just my sick mind or when you watch them poo outside their nappy it looks like one of those play doh toys? :haha:

Colsy: Oops  My sis used to fancy Charlie, I say used to, she prob still does :D

Oh God, when she was really little she started doing these duel coloured poops. One half would be yellow and the other half brown and when it came out it reminded me of those soft serve machines that give you bi coloured ice cream  Yea I put my self off ice cream for a while ;)

Colsy: Oops  My sis used to fancy Charlie, I say used to, she prob still does :D

Charlie?! Really? The only one that ever did it for me was the lovely Patrick. I cried the day he died. I still get excited when I see him in other progs (obviously as other characters, not as Patrick!).

Same here - for Monty, I mean, not me, LOL! I think it's when I've not changed him quickly enough and he's had two different poos - so there's the first one in there and that's one colour, and then there's another one in there and it's another colour. Talking of poo, he's going loads at the moment. And he's got this bad habit of going during a meal. He'll be sitting there in his highchair and suddenly stop eating and then really really really strain - he goes the colour of pale beetroot, it's really a bit scary. From the consistency, you've got to wonder why he actually needs to strain :haha:

But Charlie was her fave, I was talking about the shows the other day and she started to drool bless her lol I had to google Partick, not seen Casulty for ages, cute lol!

Ah, Mike, I remember him. Gosh, that was a long time ago. Can you tell, by the speed at which I'm replying today, that I'm sitting at my computer at work ... hmmm, maybe not so much of the work, eh?

Er . . .that makes two of us  :haha:

Well am back from the Drs. She has a yeast infection on her bottom .. that's why it won't clear up :( They've given me some ointment to put on it 4 times a day.

Chaos hope Autumn feels better soon.

Had a busy afternoon, will pop in gs in a bit.

Chaos: ouch her poor bum, hope the cream clears it up in not time :flower:

Maffie: :hugs:

Evening girls. Maffie - glad the scan went ok.
Chaos - poor Autumn...hope she feels better soon and that the MS settles.

baby.love - glad Sienna is none the worse for her little escapade. James scares the crap out of me cos he stands in his travel cot and tries to get out. Cot will be going straight on the lowest setting when we move next week.

James is soooo much happier since he started with the childminder. It was great this evening. Tom picked him up cos he finished work before me and so I managed to get home and tidy the kitchen before they arrived home. Then James was full of smiles and giggles and mischief. He has just settled to sleep having pooped as soon as he went down. Tom hasn't quite got the hang of quiet calm nappy change at bed time so wound him right up again, consequently it took me an hour to get him back to sleep

This week is going to be totally manic! I'm at work for a few hours tomorrow morning, then have to try to pack my clothes and James's clothes (leaving a few out). Then I am off to babysit my niece and nephew for the evening so my sis can go out. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I'm on nights. Finish at 7am Saturday morning and then get a few hours sleep before having to be in the centre of town to do a speed awareness course at 2pm (got caught speeding naughty naughty ) Sunday is the christening and then we move house on Wednesday!!! Somewhere in all that lot I have to return library books, pick up all the stuff that is in my nan's loft, look after James......argh!!!

Ah well at least the weather is nice eh?

LK, naughty speedy girl

Chaos, hope A's bum clears up soon, bless her. Can't be nice, especially in the heat. :hugs:

Kte & Colsy, I used to be an avid fan of Casualty & Holby, but I haven'tr seen it in forever now. I alsways wanted Charlie to be my dad & Duffy to be my mum when I was younger, lol!

Maffie, glad the scan went ok. Hope the next one will be ok too :) Read GS- you're one strong lady mama. :hugs:

:hugs: to everyone I've missed out too. I'm overtired, lol, with no concentration today. Harry's slept through the last 2 nights, so hopefully he'll do it again tonight too.

 at the dual coloured poop/ice cream stuff. hehe. Oh and Colsy, harry always seems to poo during his meals too. I wonder if its the angel of the high chair or something & also 'clearing' some space in his body for the new food or something? lol. Like one in, one out principle?

So.... is Harry now the only one of us regulars without teeth??? lol.

better go...

Oh, do anhy of you watch Big Brother? I've seen little bits of it... why is TV so crap these days? There never seems to be anything on when I feel like watching it. At least Wimbledon's on- Harryn likes to clap his hands everytime the audience clap, but otherwise doesn't acknowledge the TV so I guess that's a good thing...

Q: how are yopu keeping LOs cool in this weather???

Flora Noah hasn't cut a tooth either  he certainly seems to be teething lots and no result!!!

TV is beyond crap at the moment although I keep watching CSI reruns.

Hi guys

Hope we're all ok.

The move is going ok - although trust us to attempt to move on our own with no help whatsoever on the hottest day of the year so far. Hubby was so exhausted after loading the van to the top with stuff that he left at 4am this morning instead of 8pm last night. He's on his way back now and should be back here by about 3pm-ish and then is going back again tonight. Earl and I are still at home with no furniture hardly, trying to clean the house and pack what remains. We should be pretty much ok and will be handing in the keys at 4pm tomorrow as planned

I'm asolutely shattered though. Earl is teething and is pretty much crawling so of course doesn't want to be strapped into anything (he managed to fall out of his pushchair and ended up hanging out of it Mission Impossible style when I took a bit of rubbish to the bins. Seem to be gettin more done while he sleeps though so seeing as he's just up from a nap I'm taking an hour off, siting (on the floor) down for a bit and letting him play and eat an early lunch. When Hubby gets back I've got to nip out as I've got a load of stuff for the charity shop and I'm running out of bin bags!

Seriously girls- move house in Winter!!!! It's 26 degrees in Earl's room (rather annoying the warmest in the house) and we're all dripping with sweat. At least Earl is still eating and napping (I think he's used to excitement as there's never a dull moment) but in the evenings he takes an age to get to sleep as that's when his room is hottest. He's sleeping in with me tonight though, so hopefully he'll be a bit better as our room is a lot cooler.

It's very odd to think that we've been here for 3.5 years - growing up we used to move once every 6months or so (went to 11 primary schools!!) so I didn't realise how much crap you can accumulate! I've cleared out the utility to put all the rubbish in ready to take to the tip tomorrow and it's already half full of rubbish!!! (oh my god the size of some of those spiders - they're now residing in my vacuum cleaner!!

Anyway, best be off Earl is attempting to climb the chimney! See you on the other side!!
