happy 6mths emma :) Harry is 6mths today too. It kinda scares me how fast it's gone, but on a good note, he is now finally in about 80% 3-6mth clothing & the rest is still 0-3, so he is defo growing faster now.

the wedding is in less than 48hrs so I'm getting a bit scared now. Had my nails done today & the kids all had hair cuts (my sister's kids, not Harry, lol). Just last minute stuff now... checking into the castle tomorrow afternoon, then it's all go go go from there, then off to Italy... so I guess I wont be online for a couple of weeks. I promise copious amounts of pics when we get back, hehehe!

:hugs: to all of you! xxx

Morning all,

Flora: Good Luck! :flower: Have a blast and yes we expect pikkies!! I'm sure everything will be fine, just make sure you enjoy your big day xx :hugs:

:happydance: Happy 6 Months to Harry & Emma :happydance:

Chloe and my Mum had a great time yesterday, they are having a day out today visiting my Nan. Be really nice for Chloe to meet her, I haven't seen her for ages, feel really bad but it's hard as she suffers from Alzhemiers and only remembers me as a younger age. Actully, need to text my Mum and see if she can get a picture of them together as she is my only living grandparent.

Happy 6 months Harry and good luck for the wedding Fleur, have a fabulous time and just enjoy every minute. :hugs:

Flora- happy 6mths to Harry too! All the best to you and OH on your special day!! Can't wait to see piccies :) Enjoy Italy too!

Kte- that's sweet that Chloe and your Mum are having such a good time together :)

Well, I have 2 babies at the moment- DH hurt his foot last night when he was putting away lawn furniture and he's regressed about 36 years  I'm probably a terrible wife, but I have zero patience for him when he's all mopey. I told him to elevate his foot, put ice on it and take some ibuprofen to help with he inflammation but he complained that the ice was too cold (what do you expect?? it's ice!!), didn't bother elevating his foot but did take the ibuprofen. I sent him off to the urgent care clinic this morning since he thought he heard a crack when he hurt it but getting him out the door to the doctor was like pulling teeth. I get really annoyed with the "pity me" routine if the person isn't trying to help themselves get better (which is pretty much everytime DH gets sick or hurts himself). Argh, I hope I have more patience with Emma! Right, rant over... :)

Hope everyone is having a good day. It's a grey, rainy day here so I think it might be a good opportunity to do some spring cleaning and get some winter stuff put away.

Happy 6 months Harry. And Flora enjoy the wedding! Have a wonderful day, can't wait to see millions of piccys. And enjoy Italy.

Well I am off out on a 2nd date tonight hehe. Went on a date with him on Monday for lunch and ended up back at his watching a dvd so the 1pm date didn't end up finishing til 8.30pm lol. He is cooking me dinner tonight and we are watching a dvd. So excited. He is a really sweet guy and lives in Chippenham which is where my new job is. Hope everyone has a good evening!

Happy half birthday to Harry and Emma! Gosh that's crazy! lol

I hope we're all well. Enjoy the date LK!! Hope hubby feels better Kaites. :flower: I'm the same with the self-pity thing and so is hubby. Problem is that my thyroid can cause mild depression so we have both been narked with my moods lately.

I'm so proud of Earl just recently. He's been doing so well with his weaning....eating well and doing his finger foods like a pro lol. Over the past couple of weeks I've been trying to get him to be a bit more polite as he had a habit of snatching at the spoon and sending food flying lol. Good when he's tiny as it's good practice but he's got it down to a fine art now lol. So, I've been teaching him 'No Hands' and pushing his hand away and not letting him have the food until he keeps it there. Well today I just said 'No Hands' and he moved his hand away on his own! I have a polite little boy. Now if you say 'take the spoon' he'll take it too! Just got to get him to not grab at the dog lol.....hoping that the 'No Hands' will be transferable so we can use it instead of 'NO' when he grabs at things.

Is anyone else finding their LO's getting wilfill lately. We've found that Earl can get really stroppy if you're eating and he's not got anything. He's not too bad with most things but food....my goodness you know about it! I think I'm going to have to start being a bit more strict with him - guess the honeymoon is over lol.

Morning all,

Gosh we are spread a bit thin at the moment! Hope everyone is okay and just busy with good things!! :flower:

Kaites: I hate the 'feel sorry for myself' too if they haven't been to the docs or tried to properly help themselves; I get it when you have been ill for so long and are just plain fed up with it lol! I had a moment of that when I went to the loo last night for the 3rd time . . . sorry TMI but this fissure is still giving me serious gip, I had to practically beg for cream last time I went to the doc's. Lol I do want Chloe to take after me in the illness department too, Nij HATES tables so we have to get the kind that melt, plus it takes him a while to go to the docs but at least he does go, he kind of likes to make sure he is ill iykwim  :haha:

Like you new signature pics

LK: You kept that a secret!! How did the second date go? As good if not better than the first I hope :flower: :hugs:

How is James getting on in the movement front?!

Aimee: Wow Earl is a clever little man! It's amazing to me how their little personalities have suddenly shone out so much, I know they were there already but they just seem stronger now! I say Chloe is a 'critic' when she starts to have a moan, I HAVE to watch her play in her car or at least keep check otherwise I get complained at! Funny because she isn't bothered sat in her bouncy chair.

Nij friend says 'Hot' to anything she doens't want her LO to touch but even she admits its going to confuse him when he is older and things aren't actually hot! 'No hands' is a good one. I am doing 'gentle' when she touches the cats and help her touch them more softly as she does the 'grab a handful of fur and yank' approach at the moment but she loves them and they are being very patient with her :cloud9:

I tried to give Chloe a bit of boiled carrot yesterday to gnaw at and she wasn't bothered so weaning is still on hold. I know you have to be persistant but I feel she at least wants to put food in her mouth! Toys go in there galore but not food

Nursary session today, I have put 10-11 but now can't remember if its 1 or 2 hours! Ah well, took half a days hol so its no biggie.

Have a good day ladies, Chloe is getting a bit bored and I need to get her day's supply of bottles sortes . . . oh and she had such a fab time with my Mum, well yesterday she slept most of the day! She did get to meet her Great Nanna though and my Mum took some excellent pikkies!

xx

p.s we discovered Chloe is tickelish too! Poor little Goo as Nij loves to tickle!

Kte - hehe didn't want to blab about the first date in case it didn't go well but actually it went brilliantly and last night was even better. He cooked dinner and I had a glass of wine, we cuddled up on the sofa and just watched a film and chatted til the early hours. Was amazing. I really like this guy so watch this space lol.

On the movement front he is so so close now. He can go backwards and is very proficient at dragging himself to where he wants to be. And he gets right up on his knees and elbows now. Just waiting for him to get the hang of hands and knees. Although my nephew commando crawled first and has only just crawled at 9 months. Now at almost a year old he is standing on his own and trying to walk. So we will see what James does.

Got to run though cos I am off to Blaise Castle with James, my sister, her partner, their 2 children, and my brother. Its beautifully sunny and not a cloud in the sky.

Hey girls - happy 6 months to all the bubs reaching the milestone!

All good here, I'm packing for Norwich. My last proper week in London then I'm off with the girls to my Mum's for a week in Devon before we move on the 17th. Start my new teaching job on the 19th..arghh!

Isla is doing well and has 2 teeth (bottom middle) coming through, they're giving her some troubles so using the old parsons powders and bickipegs!

Lily my elder daughter did her 1st poo on the potty yesterday..very proud moment! She's done quite a lot of wees before but never a no.2!

Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

xx

Ooo yeah, I did it but I can do it on works PC too as its different IP addy!

Panda Well done for your little girl doing a No2! Hope Isla's teeth ease up a bit :flower: Enjoy your last proper week before the move.

Thanks lovely! I'm so excited!

All proceeds raised from it go to a local little girl. At 1 month old they found out she had cancer, she had chemo and beat it, but the chemo really hurt her heart and she had to go on the transplant list. She finally got a heart in Jan 2010 at 4 years old. She's so awesome!!

Hi gals, been away at mum's for a week, hence my silence. Hope you and your lovely babies are all doing well. We are grand. Can't stop to chat but just wanted to pop in and at least say hello and let you know I am still here in heart, even if I don't write much these days. Love y'all xx

Good morning!

Well, turns out I'm just a bad wife, lol :haha: The cracking sound that hubby heard the other night when he hurt his foot was him breaking the bone that runs along the outside edge of the foot. Poor guy- he just started his new job last week and he can't take anytime off yet so he's back at work today with his foot all bandaged up. I just hope he has an easy day so that he can rest up over the weekend. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only with a short fuse for self-pity :)

Aimee- Sounds like Earl is getting the hang of "no hands" :) We're starting a bit of baby signing to teach Emma "gentle" with the cat since she likes to grab her ears. I'm trying not to over use "No" but am finding it hard- I really don't want her first word to be "no" but it seems to be the first word that comes to mind when she's grabbed a fistful of my hair, etc :haha:

Kte- I love the pic of Chloe and her great nanna- so cute! How'd the nursery session go? We've discovered that our Goo is ticklish too :) Kissing her neck and tickling her tummy get her all riled up and guarantee some giggles- I love it :)

LK- Wow- sounds like James is getting really mobile! Hope you had a good time at the castle :)

Panda- congrats to Lily- funny the milestones we get excited about as parents :) Good luck with your move!

Colsy- Hope you had a good visit with your Mum :)

Well, today I think I'm going to attempt to work on some sewing projects. I've got into the bad habit of starting lots of them and not finishing any of them. We'll see if Emma will let me get some work done- doesn't matter how many toys I bring into the spare room where I sew, Emma seems to hate that room  (Aimee- how did Earl's dungarees turn out?) Hope everyone is having a good day!

Afternoon girls. Been another beautifully sunny day today. We had a lovely time at the castle yesterday. Spent about 5 hours there in total, running through the woods with my niece, climbing up to the castle, having a picnic and icecream lol. Today we have been into town to pick up some bits and pieces including a book from the library that I ordered on baby signing. Can't wait to read it. Then we spent a couple of hours in the garden with James playing on the grass. He found it absolutely fascinating! Now trying to get him to take a nap cos hes only had 1 today and is exhausted. The eyes are drifting shut now so hoping he will nap for a good hour so I can read my book lol.

Update on the dating....we are now together :) We get on so well and James adores him!

YAY go LK. Glad that this fella gets along with James, and am glad he makes you happy.

Good afternoon ladies and gent!

Hope we're all ok. Earl is just smashing at the moment - if not a little cheeky! I've stopped his dream feed for the last 2 nights and he's now virtually sleeping through with only a 15 minute wake up in the wee small hours....much better than his wakings every 15 mins from 3am!

I'm spring cleaning today...well, trying to lol. So far I've sorted laundry, vacuumed everywhere, emptied all the bins and the fire, sorted out all the rooms upstairs and I've just finished the living room. Just got the dining room and the kitchen to go - nearly there. Earl is helping by holding my clean dusters - he has to be involved in so way, so he holds all my clean cloths and dusters. I say 'Thank you' when I want it from him and he grins from ear to ear, then I say, 'Hold this for Mummy' and he stares at it in his hand, then waves it around until I take it from him. I've managed to stop him eating them.....mostly lol.

It's also our wedding anniversary on Monday....2 whole years! We're going out for a meal and a day out on Thursday. SIL is baby-sitting in the evening and I'm really nervous as she's going to have to do his bedtime routine and he's not exactly easy....I've just got used to him lol. He's pretty quick to get to sleep, as long as you do everything right lol. I'm sure she'll be fine, and so what if he's still up when we get back from the restaurant.....it'll mean I get a goodnight cuddle and Auntie will get some playtime lol. She's not going to recognise him...last time she saw him was end of Jan and he's come on a bit since then lol.

LK - Congrats on the new blokey! Glad James likes him too.

Kaites : Ouch! Your poor OH! How did your projects go in the end?

LK: Congrats, glad things have turned out so well :flower:

Colsy: :hugs: ::wave: lol Glad to know you are still popping in and all is well.

Aimee: Well done on the spring clean, my house dearly needs it, are you for hire :haha: When ever I have the energy I don't have the time and vice versa. Need to stop the excuses really, well I will crack on once I feel better.

Nij made me laugh, had his parents over and he said, pretent to be ill! Erm . . . I am!!

My goodness Chloe has a right grunt if I don't pay attention to her when she wants me to, little angry, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It's not as if I ignore her normally either, just if I turn my head for 5 seconds! I tell her no, or more 'oi, cheeky, we'ill have a less' (oh dear the Yorkshire in me lol). I only then go to her once she is smiles again and not being a bossy madam!! Don't want her feeling like she is rewarded for that behaviour!

Nursery was fab, she didn't see me when I went in and was sat in a bouncy chair with some toys, they took the toys off her so they could pass her to me and she got upset until she saw me and then was happy again, the realisation bless her! Think she will be fine there!

She has a poorly finger at the moment, dunno what she did, its like a scratch but quite large, nail size just under a nail. Its gone all red and sore too so she has some sudocrem slapped on it and a PJ top with a mitt over it so she doesn't eat the cream. Hope it helps.

Best go, CHloe is crying, she is tired but fighting it tonight, time for some snuggles! :cloud9:

Evening all, had a fab weekend. OH had his boys to stay and we walked upto a carboot today, bought alsorts for all the boys. I managed to fall on the way home, saved the pram from going over but resulted in a very sore and swollen ankle, wrist and the pram hit me in the face (hoping a black eye doesn't come out)

Made a big Sunday lunch as OH brought his mum up for the day, roasted carrots, parsnips and potatoes, mash, boiled carrots and broccoli, roast beef, Yorkshires, gravy and horseradish yum yum yum.
