Flora - I have some of those. Have had the carrot one, the spinach one, and the strawberry one. And he has the banana brekkie to try too. He loves them too.

Evening all, cant believe the 6 month mark is coming up s fast. Where has the time gone?

Noah is bad with his gums today all red and white, he's fussing on the boob too poor little man.

Noah loves apple and pear (definitely the fave meal here). Might try those pouches they sound good.

I was looking at nurseries today but just ended up in an arguement between me and OH. He says im overly anxious about everything.

Hi there!

Hope everyone is having a good day! It's gorgeous out here so we went for a walk to the ice cream shop and cleaned out the flower beds (didn't get around to it last fall as we were too busy with a newborn, lol). I let Emma sit on the grass and she was fascinated with it, stroking it for the longest time. It's supposed to get up to 25 degrees here for the next few days so I'm getting all Emma's summer clothes ready to go  Can't wait- I think we are going to do our Easter dinner on the patio. That'll be a first!

Not much else going on here... One of my friends from elementary/high school just had a baby girl- I'm pretty excited since she's close in age to Emma and my friend already has 2 boys and was really looking forward to having a daughter.

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hello- we're heading back outside as soon as Emma's finished with boobie :)

Morning all, sorry not been here for a while, so i havent read all the posts, well what a week and a half we have had, George has been in hospital for 2 days last week, he had Gasturatus, really bad, didnt have a bottle of milk for over a week, only water or juice, and he still couldnt keep that down, i felt so sorry for him, gladly hes back to his cheeky self now, and he also has 2 bottom teeth!! I hope everyone else is well and babies are too, also George is 6 Month old today, were has the time gone

:hugs: for George and Happy 6 months!

Well Noah had is last feed at 10pm last night, he woke at 5 for a feed and is still asleep. He keeps stirring in the night moaning and shoving his hand in his mouth so I think we might get more peaceful sleep once these teeth cut.

Morning all,

HAPPY EASTER WEEKEND :D

Hope Harry and Earl are better from jabs :flower:

Maffie: Its natural to feel like that about childcare, I like the nursary Chloe is going to, we seen a fair few now and I am still having mini panic attacks! I have to keep saying in my head 'remember the smiling babies!' Its hard as technically abnormal, it's something society has created but Noah will be fine and I know that I still have a huge strong bond with Chloe even though she doesn't spend all day with me. Although also - trust your gut, you have to be as happy as you possibly can be :flower: :hugs:

EDIT: Why does she always wake up when I what to chat to you lovely ladies!

Sam76: Happy 6 months for George! :happydance:

Chloe has only just gone 5 months but time is flying, it's quite scary!

Kaites: Sounds like a nice weekend ahead. Congrat's to your friend on the arrival of her little girl. Nij cousin had a little boy last weekend and we were going to visit today but staying away due to Chloe's cold. Don't think they would appreciate that little gift being passed on!

Aimee: Wow! Rolly Earl! Well done him! I was thinking after looking at the babies in the nursary that our house is no where near crawl proof yet! Its amazing how quickly the wizz aboout, quite weird to think thats our LO's soon!

Flora: How are the nerves holding up? :flower:

Well, deposit paid, next week for two days I get to take in Chloe and stay with her to settle her in for a few hours, then a week after next she starts full time! :D

Not many plans this weekend, spring clean and I guess Nij sleeps! I am quite happy to hide away from the world right now, life has been such a rollercoaster I feel like I could fill an entire JK show, let alone one slot!

Chloe is feeling better, still flemmy but it's working it's way out as she coughs and out it pop's

On that note, best get cleaning and playing with Goo, have a good weekend ladies, i'm sure ill be visiting sometime but you know hoiw quiet it can get in here sometimes when the weekend appears!! :flower:

LK- yep it was the carrot, parsnip & apple one i gave him. we'd still rather make all our own foods, but for emergencies or lazy days, those pouches are great & not too badly priced i believe.

Kte- nerevs are ok atm. bit peed off as 4 ppl have emailed this past 48hrs to say they arent coming anymore, which means i have to redo the table plans & also try to fill those 4 spaces so we dont lose money on the food... at £38 per person, i dont wanna lose it, lol. the suit ppl also messed up my nephew's suit, so we have to pick it up tomorrow now from southampton, but also have to pick up my dress from dorset too. they had to take my dress up by 4 inches & take the bust in a bit coz kit appears my boobs have shrunk since the february fitting, lol. took harry n calbe's trousers up yesterday too- they must both have short legs!!! gonna take harry's curtains up today too...

well, also some 'big' news for me... i fed Harry in public for the first time, at southampton train station on sunday!!! i dont think nayone even noticed!!! :happydance: and it only took me nearly 6months, lol.

Happy 6mths George! Sorry to hear he's been poorly- that must've been really scary!

maffie- like Kte said- trust your instincts... I have to start looking for childcare soon too... seems like a minefield out there!

I wont need a nursery until end of August / early September but finding one near work is a must, not looking forward to having to commute with Noah but no where he open suitable hours.

Sam ~ Glad George is doing better!

Just poking my head in, waiting for my sister to arrive :happydance:She's here for a week!

Ok, I gotta get the baby to the Dr for her 6 month check. Have a fab day girls.

Good morning everyone,

Why is it just when you think you're sussed with this whole parenting lark, the babe decides that it's time for a change lol

Earl has finally started to sleep through a bit more. 2 nights out of three we go from 7.30-6.30 with just a quick dream feed. Last 2 nights though we've had a wake up at 10.30, feed, stay awake until about 11.30, then wake up at 3 (no feed), cuddle to calm down, then wake up for dummy every 30 minutes til 6am when we're awake for the day. I'm convinced it's 2 things. He's really clingy with hubby at the moment....thinks he's just brilliant. If hubby shows his face in his nursery during the dream feed, that's it. We're up for at least an hour! :dohh:. The other....he seems to have grown about 1cm overnight. I will get the tape measure out later, but I'm pretty sure he's grown. Earl gets growing pains pretty bad so these could have woken him up. He's happy as larry watching the GP at the moment (he loves the sounds of the engines lol) while rolling over repeatedly (or at least trying to lol). I'm bloody knackered again though. He's also eating much less than normal and spitting u after every feed which he has never done even when he was newborn which suggests to me even the 5oz he's taking at each feed is too much. I'm so confused lol. I'm sure it's just a phase though....he's fine, his normal cheeky self, so I'm not worried. Could also be his jabs I suppose . Anyone else got any ideas?

Hope we're all ok otherwise :flower:

Chaos - Hope your sister got there safely :hugs:

Sam - Glad that George has recovered and well done on the teeth little man!!

P.s. Just measured Earl quickly and as fas as I can see he's now 70cm - He was 69cm last Monday!!

Hi all.

Sorry I been rubbish - again - at writing on here but I do keep reading all the posts!

Aimmee - Phoebe has also been spitting up on and off after her feed over the past few weeks having never done so either and my mum said it could be linked to her teething. Much as I hate to admit my mum could be right having thought about it this could well be the case as she does seem to do it when she seems to be struggling with her teeth!

Aimee: When Nij and I came back from a scan we ended up talking to this random woman in McDonalds car park, she said no matter what you think they are always one step ahead, once you think you have sussed one thing out they change the game! She had two little kids btw lol. She said a lot of sound advice really lol

Sorry, not sure with Earl, hope he can keep some food down soon and feel better :flower: Bingers (or her mum lol) could be onto something, maybe he does it as it feels funny on his gums?

Chloe loves the sound of car engines, not surprised really what with Nij being a car fanatic and she has been sat in many a noisy car whilst in my tum :haha: Music doesn't bother her but she hears a car on TV or a game and she is glued to them!

Flora: That sucks about the email, would have been nicer for them to call if they were going to have to cancel, hope you find someone to replace them, like you say, its a lot of money to loose out on, if not - id be eating twice! Hope all the fitting and adjustments get sorted, all those finishing touches!

Chaos: Hope you sis had arrived safely and your all having a good time

BEst go dry my hair. CM got her letter and wants to talk, I want to hide, I am such a wuss! I have also caught Nijs lurgi!

Or my old Porsche :( the day I sold it, i saw the smile on her face when it was idling outside - arghhhhhh:cry::cry::cry:

Morning girls (and guy!)

I came down stairs today to find broken bowls on the floor because my food obsessed fucking cat can't leave shit alone!! GRR. I'm so mad. He's always breaking shit, even if there's a speck of food in it, it's not like he don't have food down all the time!!!! Ok. Breath. haha.

My sister made it safe and sound. She was up at 6am (11am your time!) with a massive headache because she's jetlagged lol. She's totally obsessed with Autumn, which is kinda nice in a way because no matter what anyone says, it's really hard to entertain an active baby 24/7 and it kinda gives me a bit of a break.

Autumn had her 6 month check yesterday. She's grown 2lbs, so is now 16.9lbs and 2.5 inches, so is now 27 inches in 2 months. Am I the only one that finds this absolutely CRAZY?! That means in 6 months she grown 7.5 inches and put on 8.9lbs!!!

Bingers ~ :flower:

Aimee ~ Maybe he has a bit of reflux, that would cause him to eat less (cause it hurts a bit) and also cause him to spit up. Saying that Autumn has changed her feeding from 3, 8oz bottles today to 3, 6oz and 2, 4oz a day, she can't drink 8 oz any more and will start spitting it out.

Flora ~ Re people not turning up, we had about 80 people invited to our wedding and RSVP'd yes. We paid $48pp and that included a free bar and we had 9 people just not show up. I was beyond pissed because the caterers actually make a bit more in case you get people turn up, if I had realised that I would have ordered less than the exact number. We lost so much money that we needed that day.

Re mummies leaving kids at childcare, you're braver than me lol. I won't even consider a baby sitter at the moment!!

kte ~ That childminder, God she pisses me off and I'm just reading about her!! I'd smack her one.

Ok I gotta go let my friends dogs out. I'm looking after them till Thursday. I gotta go let them out 3 times a day (She said 2 but that seems too little to me!)

Have a great Saturday!! :)

Thanks for the ideas ladies,

Could be teething....we've had a bad few days and he's still chewing on things like no-one's business so I think maybe it's just settled down a bit - calm before the storm style. Could also just be that he's settled on his solids....who knows. I just follow his lead with these things anyway....just slightly annoying to throw away 12oz of milk yesterday! (that's just because I'm a penny pinching madam lol)

Chaos - I hope your sister feels better.

Flora - I meant to say about your wedding. We had 2 people just not turn up, and two tell us the night before they weren't coming! We had 70 people coming, and had paid for everything up front. In the end I rang some of my friends who were invited to the night-do (I had wanted them at the day originally but 70 was our maximum) and they very graciously didn't see it as an afront when I asked them to come all day now, and then offered food to the photographer and to the DJ lol. We got a free wedding table album and some CD's of the music of the day from them.....so worth it in the end lol. I hope your day goes well. Just one piece of advice from our wedding.....

When you go to bed on the night before stop worrying. Have a bath, enjoy your night, go to sleep and when you wake up do everything you can to enjoy it. If anything goes wrong there's nothing you can do about it, so just go with it.

With me, my so called best friend and only bridesmaid who was travelling down from Scotland, instead of coming down on the Thursday liked she was asked, decided to leave fife at 6pm on the friday night. It's a 5 hour drive, she got lost and my MIL ended up taking me down to the main road to meet her at 1am. By the time I got to bed it was 2am! I was up at 6 just so that I could get myself organised and she didn't surface until 7.30 despite the fact that we had to be at the hairdressers st 8. She was also covered head to foot in tanning stuff and needed a bath but I didn' know so had to boil the kettle six times so she could wash the brown crud off her, and then chose to announce that she hadn't brought any make-up or money with her so I would need to pay for hers to be donew at the salon. We ran 40 minutes late the entire morning, when we got to the hotel I had 12 minutes to get into my dress instead of the hour I had originally planned.....then my Mum turns up and starts blubbering all over me. I was so chilled throughout the whole thing though....only had 1 minor meltdown because Sarah also decided that her bouquet was too long so I got rid of my frustrations by taking to it with a bread knife lol . Icut my finger wide open but felt better. Smile...and Nothing will spoil your amazing day. Take some time to yourself and with your new hubby and above all remember that the day is yours, nomatter what anyone else does.

Good morning!

We're having a freak heat-wave here- it reached 29 degrees yesterday! It's supposed to make it back up to 27 today, so I've decided to have our early Easter dinner on the patio. Definitely a first for us, lol! Having a baby in the hot weather is taking some getting used to also- I'm so used to bundling her up for the cold weather so she was probably still dressed a little too warmly yesterday (poor kid) and applying sunscreen to a wiggling baby was a little hard!

Sam76- Hope George is feeling better- that must have been scary having to bring him to the hospital :hugs:

Flora- congrats on feeding Harry in public- I found it got easier once I got over my initial inhibitions (but I'm lucky that the city I live in is quite BF friendly). That sucks about your guests cancelling at the last minute. We had a super small wedding with just close family- it was outside at a pavillion overlooking the river and then we all piled into our cars and went to Mont Tremblant for the weekend to a resort that included spa treatments for the ladies (the boys just went to the bar, lol). We didn't have anyone cancel on us, but BIL's girlfriend dumped him the weekend after our wedding. I was so annoyed since she basically said that she didn't want to miss out on an expense-paid weekend away and now she's in all my wedding photos. Enjoy your day!

Maffie- Good luck with your search for a nursery. I have the same problem with finding one with suitable hours too since I do shift work and OH works ridiculous hours and all the daycares around here are only open 7-5pm. I've pretty much given up on finding a placement for her and am starting to get stuff in order to open my own daycare (I'm probably insane...) I hope you find one that you are happy with for Noah!

Chaos- Have fun with your sister! My dad swears by melatonin for jetlag. Way to grow Autumn! I can't wait to see how much Emma has grown when we have our 6mth check up in about a week. Sometimes when she is in my arms, I'll look down at her head and think "there is no way I could push that out now" :haha:

Kte- hope the talk with the CM goes okay- either way you'll be rid of her soon! I'm a wuss at stuff like that too :)

Aimee- hope Earl is feeling okay :hugs:

Happy Easter everyone! Time for me to go tidy the house a little (blah)...

Morning all, HAPPY EASTER!!!!!

Chloe got a peppa pig one from us.....doubt she will get any lol.

As for the CM, I am gonna call her tomorrow or tuesday and tell her to FO - and if she wants any money she can have it, £1 a week!

Happy Easter!

Emma didn't get any chocolate- just clothing and toys. I kinda wish someone had given her a nice big chocolate bunny- I'm craving some chocolate :haha:
