OMG girls my heart is racing right now. I need to babyproof. James is so mobile now, he managed to pull the baby monitor off the tv stand and the plug missed his head by about an inch!! :( He is in his travel cot for now with toys.

Gosh LK! Crazy!

Well I still have a poorly little boy, these jabs have knocked it out of him. Im bloomin exhausted as he stirred most of the night and now he is sleeping but keeps waking every 15-20 minutes murmurs then nods back off so im staying awake to watch him. He doesn't even want much milk

LK sounds like things are going well with your new OH, good luck on baby proofing, we are semi baby proofed with having the older 2 at weekends but still loads needs doing.

Kte Chloe looks lovely all ready for nursery, I hope I find a good one.

Hi Maffie, are these the third set of jabs? You've got me worried, as Monty is having his tomorrow afternoon. We're then supposed to be swimming first thing Fri morning and then off visiting Saturday til Sunday. Sounds as though there's a chance we may have to make some changes ... However, how did Noah respond to his first two sets of jabs? Monty was (touch wood) fine with his first two, so maybe it's just a case of different babies responding differently. Whatever, I am sending :hugs: to little Noah and also hope that you both get some sleep tonight. xx

Hi Colsy yes they are the thirst set, he was super with the first 2 lots. The 1st he was normal happy boy, second he grumped for a little bit but wasn't poorly. This lot he's tired, vomiting, refusing feeds. he seems worse today than yesterday. If he's no better in later this afternoon think i'll need to phone the doctors

Awww, poor li'l thing. I really do hope he gets better ASAP. Hope he recovers completely by the weekend so you can have some fun.

:hugs: Poor Noah, hope he improves soon. I am sure you will find a good nursery, just look around pleanty of places and you will know when you have found the right one. My handy tip; see how the other babies are in that environment as it's all very well what the adults say about the all singing and dancing nursery they supposively have but the babies can't lie!! :flower:

Eek our house is no way baby proof yet, need fire guard, baby gates, get rid og coffee table with evil corners oh and remove the ponisetta!

Afternoon ladies,

Well, I think I'm nearly there. I've been like a whirling dervish today - getting ready for SIL and also basically it's going to be the last time I have to clean in any major way so for some reason I'm really enthusiastic lol.

Hubby has made a mistake in changing the sky packages to include the arts and culture ones. I am sat here watching home and health and I'm getting sooooo broody! Not good....at least Earl gave me a nice reminder as to why I can wait....he's been very very active this afternoon after a 2 hour nap. I fed him, put him on his play mat to wind down. Hey presto he decides to roll onto his tummy, and promply vomits about half of his 8oz bottle all over it......Lurvely!

Maffie - sorry to hear that Noah has been poorly. Earl was really bad with the first 2 but the 3rd once you wouldn't know he'd had them at all. I hope he recovers soon :flower:

Colsy - as above really, I was so worried about Earl having another bad reaction, but he was full of beans the entire day and just went to bed about half an hour earlier than normal. Btw - if you're a bad mother, then I'm the queen of flippin' sheba, and there ain't nothing Royal about me! lol People annoy me too generally....they seem to have an opinion on everything and if you don't follow it you're just stupid. I've actually stopped coming onto this forum apart from here and the SS thread, as they're the only two areas where I seem to get sense out of people. The latest is that Earl is going to have autism.....because he doesn't make eye contact. Ermmmmm excuse me? Who died and made you an expert, and he makes plenty of eye contact thank you...he just doesn't like you!!! lol

Kte - Glad to see that Chloe is enjoying Nursery. They seem a lot more professional than your CM

Anyone else's LO getting frustrated at the lack of forward momentum.....apart from James obviously LK  That's just crackers that you're having to baby proof at 6 months lol. Earl will happily sit and play but if something rolls out of his reach he desperately wants to go and get it, but cant, and rather entertainingly he actually strains so much there is a 'release of gas' every time! lol. :haha: God help me when he can get about....I'm thinking Bum Shuffler for Earl though....he's mastered a pretty good wobble now lol.

Aimee - SS thread? Just being nosey or dumb or both!! I post elsewhere occasionally but tbh apart from this thread (and bigger babies of course because I am biased and started that one lol) I rarely have a proper conversation with anyone. It's okay now but the way other posters can bitch sometimes sheesh!! This is a friendly forum too! So after my ramble that makes sense in a jumbles manner, what I mean to say is and know what you mean and so long as I am here with all you lovely Bumpkins that's all I need and I am happy :flower: I need you lot, Nij is asleep AGAIN! :haha:

Chloe does the best wiggles when she wants to move, you can see on her face what she is thinking and what she wants and her arms and legs flail in the direction she wants to go but thats about it. Its quite cute now as sometimes she is on me and tried to get to Nij and vice versa. Oh and if a cat walks past her she wants to get to them too! I'm not sure how she will start being mobile. She is wanting to stand quite a bit now too but I think she may be a crawler as she wants her hands to get into everything so I think they will be her driving force . . . be interesting to see if I am right or not eventually!

CM used to do a book but it mostly said 'unsettled'. We got another book today from CM, Nij went and finalized all the paper work. I feel sad and guilty but I am not sure why becsue she was either not looking after Chloe or lieing to me about things to get me weaing her, either way reason to take her out. Bagh what ever because Chloe is so happy now for certain and so am I, I wish the CM well and no hard feelings and all that jazz as I feel she is a good CM for older children just not babies and its all done and dusted and I need to stop stressing now as its all sorted!!!!!!!!!

You been watching Baby stories or birth stories? Can;t remember what the programme is called. Every one I see they just all get induced. I admire how those of you who want other kids just know and are going for it. I am still scared about the thought of going through it all again. I know I was lucky during my pregnancy but the whole anything can happen during labour / delivery scares the hell out of me. I keep on sometimes just thinking about what happened and I am kind of in shock about everything I went through. I;d like to think I would be brave enough in the future but as for now there is no way. I keep on having dreams I am giving birth, the other night I had sextuplets

Sorry for the large rant ladies, my college at work was away today and I normally vent most of everything at her so I don't turn into a loony but Nij is alseep and so is Chloe so I am on my own yet again and it makes me . . . .need to talk!!!!!!!

:hugs: all xx

Good Afternoon!

Hope everyone is having a good day! We're having another quiet day here. Emma was a total grump yesterday and Monday. I thought it was her jabs, but now I'm thinking it's that she misses Daddy since his work season is full tilt now and he's gone from 5am to 7pm. I think she's getting bored of me, lol  We walked to the grocery store for a little something to do and she's in a slightly better mood today. Heaven help us tomorrow and Friday-it's supposed to rain so we'll be cooped up here all day.

Kte- cute photos of Chloe, esp. the second one :) We've got A Baby Story here too and it sounds like probably the same show- lots of inductions and c-sections. We're undecided on having another kid too- that was another touchy topic at the doc appt on Monday. She suggested that I pop out another asap so that the babies are close in age and because my first pregnancy was easy (umm, yeah, except for the stress of Emma having hydrops and being put on what was essentially stillbirth watch from 20weeks 'til delivery- argh stupid woman!). Hopefully if you do decide to have another, your sextuplets dream doesn't come true :haha:

Colsy- congrats on meeting your goals and happy 6 mths on Friday! Glad to hear you're having a better day today :hugs:

LK- wow! James is mobile  I've been trying to delay mobility by strategically sitting Emma amongst a mountain of toys, everthing within arms reach :haha: I'm dreading having to baby-proof.

Maffie- hope Noah feels better soon :hugs:

Aimee- lol @ Earl "releasing gas" as he reaches :haha:

Well, hope everyone is having a good evening. I should stop procrastinating and figure out what I'm going to make for dinner...

Morning all well Noah seems over the worst of it, one vomit this morning but I think he was over excited. He's full of beans and in his new dinosaur ball pit teddy thing (i'll take a pic later)

If my mum doesn't visit tomorrow I think we might try the sensory class that is on. I quite fancy the walking group but not sure im fit enough for that

Morning girls. Well James is none the worse for his little adventure yesterday. However mummy has been completely paranoid and put everything out of reach. Didn't let him out of my sight after he pulled it down so he was in the kitchen with me while I cooked and cleaned. Put him down on 1 side of the kitchen and washed a few things, looked around and he was trying to get into the bin bag on the opposite side of the kitchen. He can get around so well just by dragging himself. Its crazy. Means now if I need to do anything I have to put him in the travel cot with a load of toys cos he can now lean sideways out of his bouncer so only really use it for feeding him while I am tracking down a highchair. He can also lift himself almost out of his bumbo so I have nowhere other than the travel cot where I know he is completely safe when I am not in the room!

OH came over last night cos I didn't have a sitter so I cooked dinner while he played with James. Was so lovely. He ended up staying til 1am cos we just couldn't stop chatting. Won't be seeing him today though cos my best friend is coming down from Stafford to see me and James and she will be staying til quite late so will be fun to have some girly time. We are also meeting up with another friend who lives quite close to me so there will be much talk of weddings and babies cos they are both getting married soon.

Hope everyone is having a good day so far. Any plans?

Afternoon all,

I am well impressed, I just ordered 40 free prints of Chloe and only had to pay 99p P&P BARGAIN! Yipee!

Maffie: Glad Noah seems much happier now. I'm intrigued about the ball pit teddy thing!

LK: Brings a tear to my eye, a soppy once that is, about how nice you and your OH are getting on :) Enjoy the girlie time

I just plan to put off doing as much work as possible, well a half truth. It's revision time around here and quiet at the mo so I do work here and there but stretching it out or I will be completely bored tomorrow :dohh:

Kaites: Awh I am sure Emma isn't bored of you! Yep, it defo sounds the same show! Your doc is obvisuoly not thinking straight or has foot-in-mouth syndrome! :flower: I'd be well annoyed if mine said that too, what has it really got to do with her if you do or not, it's up to you and your OH if and when!

Hate it when people interfear. I have had a few people aske me if I would have another but the interfearing subject no1 for me at the moment is when they ask when Nij and I are getting married. Great all I need that one, all I get is Nij pull another excuse out of the hat whilst I stand and listen to what feels like my public rejection. At the moment we are fine as we are thanks world!

~~
He he, I just got yoghurt splat on my work top, ah it's like being at home with Chloe and being goo'ed! :haha:

Oooh, where from please?

Re getting married, people stopped asking me and OH that a long time ago LOL. Both of us are v happy with what we have, so defo no plans yet. (Ha ha, was just thinking how funny it would be if I now went downstairs and OH proposed. Actually, based on this morning's arguments, I can pretty much guarantee that he most certainly won't propose today!)

I PM'd you the info just in case I break some kind of B&B law by posting it! :haha:

Oh dear, hope things resolve for you soon! :flower: If he did, it would certianly be one way to shock you . . . although not the best proposal tactic really as that was kind of how my original offer came about and that marriage didn't last! (Thankfully, I hasten to add!)

Evening girls. Hows everyones day been? Have had a lovely day with the girls. Been chatting weddings and babies and stuff lol.

Oh dear, hope things resolve for you soon! :

Ta v much for the link Kte. And yeah, arguments now resolved. Was a bit more me than him I think - I don't very often admit that

Afternoon ladies,

Hope we're all ok.

Well, I'm shattered. Yesterday was about the busiest day in the history of the planet lol. We went to the shops, spent Waaaaaaaaaay too much money, went to the supermarket and managed to spend a huge amount on very little. It was so cool though as Earl went in the seat in the trolley, the proper seat not the baby one and he lasted nearly half an hour before getting tired and hubby had to carry him. We got some clothes in 12-18m, and some 6m+ toys including the collest ELC shape sorting bus that Earl is completely obsessed with lol. I've taken some piccies so will put them up soon.

In the afternoon we finished off the cleaning and then SIL arrived at 6.30. Earl was shattered and as SIL was supposed to be giving him his tea and putting him to bed I knew she was in for trouble. I contemplated giving him a few oz of milk but he just wasn't interested. We went out about 10 mins after she arrived and left her too it. We had a lovely meal at Frankie and Benny's....expensive for what it was but nice. We missed the film though so we went to Tesco's and got 2 DVD's and 2 tubs of ice cream lol.

When we got back SIL was just sat looking shell shocked. I was impressed as she had managed to get him to sleep, but it took her 3 hours!! I had told her that if he didn't want to sleep bring him downstairs, put him on the sofa and turn the TV right down and he will drift off.....but she had forgotten that, and after 2 hours of walking him around the house, he wouldn't take a bottle, had barely touched his tea, wouldn't go in the bath and had refused to let her dress him. Thing is that she brought him downstairs again and put him on the floor (like I had told her to if he got too much) he was as good as gold, wound right down, and 20 mins later he took 9oz and passed out in bed. :dohh:

Poor woman was frazzled - she has said that she will do it again though, so it can't have been too bad. I think she saw the victory and felt the overwhelming joy of finally getting a baby to sleep!! :haha:

Kte - please can I have that link too!

SS thread is the Sleep Sense Group. I asked the ladies in there for advice when Earl was being restless at night and I've just never left lol.

Best be off...Earl is being particulary demanding today....I think we've hit puberty early!! Definite whiff of teenager about his stropping lol. :haha:

Aimee-Lou, sounds like fun but knackering. Pleased you had such a fulfilling day. Hope you have lots more in the future :-)

Your post, Aimee, got me thinking about toys. I've now posted a thread in Natural Parenting about toys https://www.babyandbump.com/natural-parenting/312221-toys-babies-6months-older.html#post5060949 It's there rather than here or in Baby Club because I do aim to be as 'natural' as poss when it comes to parenting, well when it comes to most things really - but having said that, I'd welcome thoughts from all, so don't be shy about replying :-)
