Bumps2be2011

my oh has an xbox to and has call of duty and some maps or download wasn't working and he was moaning. Men!! Charlotte i agree with anna maybe wait til your holiday to ttc or how about leaving ttc a couple of months after feb then if you still went you wouldnt have a big bump x

Hubby went out to town (a 20mins drive) in the middle of the bloody night when Call of Duty came out (he had reserved it in Game) to pick his stupid game up. I didn't see him for days afterwards. lol

anna i think i was 6 or 7 months pregnant and we had go to the midnight release to. Lucky the shop is in the village only a 2min walk x lol

I'm waaaaaay too lazy to make a scrapbook. I bought a baby book and put pics on the pages and write in the gasps. and even that is not up to date. lol  QUOTE]
They don't really take that much effort once you get into them lol, but whenever people look at my pages, their reaction is generally "Ooooh I don't have the time / patience to do something like that." But most people like the idea of having them

Sooooo... my OH and I are considering marketing blank pages, similar to the baby books / memories you get, but more personal, on ebay once I finish uni, for a little extra cash

Can I get a vote from you ladies as to whether, as mummies and mummies to be, this is something that would catch your eye, and how much you'd be willing to pay for it? I'm not trying to market it to you :haha: just getting an idea of whether it would sell before I make the effort!

Ta very much x x

Bless ya Faye. Hubby went on his own I couldn't be bothered to get Joe ready in the middle of night to pick a game up. lol

Leah I think it's a lovely idea...sometimes the baby books are very general and certain things just don't apply to every family. I picked a baby book up and it was talking about the 1st hannuka (sp?) in there, we are catholic so we don't celebrate that. others got a christening page in them, but lots of ppl don't let her babies christen and opt for a naming ceremony. I think the idea is great and you will have customers (me for example for :baby: #2 lol)

Charlotte why dont you start TTC at Easter, start making your little chick then :p and btw love your tickers on your signature :)

Leah I'm unsure about cost but sound a great idea, a money maker too

I also brought a baby book (beatrix potter one) but as Anna said there's always something not in them. I have written extra bits all over mine with things he has done and milestones. If Id thought about it I prob would have started a scrapbook.

I also have a Health Journal for him and whilst I was pregnant I compiled a huge Pregnancy Journal - great to look back on even now :D Well worth noting everything down because its the little things you always forget.:flower:

x

Hehe well if you want one next year Anna, you can have "mates rates!" :haha: As can the other ladies too, of course!

That's an interesting point about the pages that are not relevant, that didn't occur to me to be honest. And also what you said, Gem, about there being things that you would want in there missed out. I think in that case, maybe the best way to personalise it would be to allow the customer to dictate what pages go in. So that way the jewish family can have 1st Hannukah, but the Catholic family doesn't have to. I think personally, the problem with most of them is that they are american made, so are very specific to an american lifestyle. My friend has one, and it has a Baby's First Independence Day... but again not really relevant to a UK family!

Thanks for you feedback :flower: x

Oooooh! Only 10 months left for me tomorrow!!!!

my OH rented out battle field the last week i told him he cant buy it cos we cant afford it, it goes back today, the xbox can be mine again :haha: im slighty obsessed with GTA online  i got to rank 5 in less then a month,

just had a thought...
this is a question for the already mummies--
im wanting to write a few childrens stories (starting my own publishing company :)) and i was just wondering what topics your LOs really love stories about? anything at all, please just let me know the age of the lo and the topic :) xxxx

hi everyone hope your all ok x i think most of us have the signature now ye x college was ok but i had to do an essay on why honesty was the best policy? I did my best but think i will have to do 2 year course which is awkward because of ttc july next year. Fingers crossed i get to do full time course. I think after april i need to look for a part time job because my maternity pay finishes and my money pays the mortgage x off to update my journal x

Hello ladies!
Hope all have had a good day? Thank u for you're suggestions on my predicament! Starting trying now in my opinion even though I would in a heartbeat, would be too soon so we are gonna try save the money needed to take us all on holiday august 2011 and see about ttc during or just after our holiday. I don't like the idea of flying pregnant and I've never been abroad before so want to be able to fully endulge!

The baby book selling on eBay is a cool idea but just a bit of for warning as I used to sell custom hand painted baby clothes on there, if you don't list it correctly it won't sell as people won't find it. Also I found it really difficult to get people to pay much money for my merchandise so I gave up and sold it locally at car boots etc instead! Tho that was clothing so it may be different and I really hope it is! :D

childrens book wise, Noah loves diggers, construction sites and animals - he's 13 months and he loves texture or activity books

I tried call of duty 3 on the wii - omg I must be thick cause I can't get past the 1st checkpoint. took me 30 mins to do the instruction training. lol
I can't remember all the different buttons to press....defo more a Sims girl. all nice and slow. lol

Amy, at the moment Joe is into everything and loves listening to all kinds of stories. For what age group do you wanna write?

Fingers crossed Faye that you get the full time course hun. x

I can't do the missions on COD either, but LOVE LOVE LOVE the online play! Pow pow pow! I'm really bad at controlling the little man though, so some times on the kill cam you can see me just running in random circles lol x

I love love love! The sims! Need a computer desk so I can set my desktop back up! Not been on it in like years!
Never played cod on xbox but I love gears of war! I was hooked on that! And quake wars! :D how much is it to get an xbox live account?

I just bought my OH a years membership for his Xbox live account, and that was £35 from play... not so bad for a whole year - keeps him busy at least :haha: x

morning everyone x hope you are well. Ye its sunny here x i'm off to somerset saturday to see my grandparents . I'm taking caleb its only 2 1/2 hour drive x

I get it for him every Valentines day lol. Means I get a decent pair of shoes every year from him too!
