Hi

I have had the 21 day blood test twice and it has shown i am not ovulating. There is a two year waiting list for the infertility clinic but someone told me you can buy fertomid online. I know it would be risky but i am desperate as i am 35 this year and so desperate to get things started sooner. I can't afford to go private. Has anyone tried this or heard of anyone else who has??

Ive not heard of fertomid, as tempting as it is to get drugs online its really not a good idea. It maybe something that needs monitoring like clomid.
You could do alot more harm than good if you go ahead without medical supervision.

I would not buy meds online as well. Is fertomid a brand of clomid? Clomid was really cheap for me $22.00 for 5 pills of 50mg. These don't have to be prescribed from a infertility specialist. My ob/gyn was able to prescribe them to me. I would suggest for you to talk to your ob/gyn.

Hi my name jacky, i am using fertomid, it is exactly the same as clomid only the generic, you don't pay as much for it. I have used it only for one cycle so far am only CD15 now in my cycle. I didn't go to the doc for perscription either, my chemist knows me well and i got it from him. I have nothing wrong with me, and i had almost no side affects from the fertomid. Sore bbs and tingles in my tummy, but that's all.

Hope you come right :hi::hi::hi:

Hi Slip,
I'm sorry to hear your waiting list is so long - that's unbelieveable. I can completely understand why you would want to buy the drug, but i would worry for you that it wasn't what it says it is.
I have no words of advice, but wanted to let you know i'm thinking of you
((((((((hugs)))))))))

I'm new to this and don't know if i'm replying in the correct way.
Thank you so much for your reply jacky. It made me feel better knowing there are other people out there trying fertomid. I would love to discuss it further with you and i am also very interested in knowing your progress.
I wish you all the luck in the world and thanks again for making me smile and see a flicker of light today.
Lots of love and hugs
xxxx

I bought these - still in my drawer!

Honestly? Got them and didn't dare risk my stupid idea! :)

I've been tempted, many times, but you're supposed to be monitored when you're on it. Knowing my luck, I'd do myself damage, so I've managed to resist the urge so far

Fertomid is something ive looked into aswell but from the good advice of others on here i decided against it.

I know it seems like a good idea when your feeling desperate but its not worth risking your health hunni

Hi there just wanted to let you know that i bought some fertomid from the internet after having tried for 2 and a half years for a baby and i took it on days 5-9 and i got pregnant 1st time !!! i researched the side effects ect and was really aware that if i had any bad side effects i would have gone straight to my gp.GOOD LUCK xx Dawn [i am now 15 weeks pregnant ]

It's the trust thing. Do you trust what you are buying, etc? Do you know it's what it says it is?

If you are buying from a reputable chemist then, fair enough, but buying stuff over the internet has its risks.

For all you know you could be spending money on nothing more than sugar pills...placebos...

I'd not ever buy meds from the internet, you simply have no guarantee it's safe, even that it is what it says it is. I agree with CS ^ that if you got it from a chemist, fair enough ( although that wouldn't happen here)

You can get your GP to prescribe this for you, it doesn't have to be the gynae ( 2 yrs for a gynae appt!!! are you sure you been told right??)

Hi ladies, I've been looking for advice about Fertomid and came across this thread in googlesearch... I've had to register to post this but wanted to send Tottenham5 a PM (or talk to anyone else who has conceived successfully using Fertomid) as my situation is different to lots of women using clomid it would seem - I have no periods at all. Just hoping to find someone else in same boat.

Mods - is there any chance you can ammend my access so I can contact Tottenham5 or could someone else let her know I'm looking to talk to her for some advice?!

Thanks xx

Hi there. I see you are in glasgow. As far as I know your gp can prescrib clomid while you are waiting to be see at the fertility clinic. Also you could ask to be referred to another health board with a shorter wait time, if you are willing to travel. Dont risk tbuying these types of drugs online, you dont want to gamble with your fertility. There was a story in the paper last week about a midwife who prescribed the drug to induce labour and it killed her unborn twins, due to her impatience.
I know its a long wait but I really think your gp will write a script for clomid so long as you have been ttc for 6 months plus (maybe 12 depending on their protocol.)xxxxxx

hey, i had a question for you. i just bought fertomid online this morning, and am awaiting its arrival sometime next week. i want to know when exactly you took it, and then how long after did you have sex. i am desperately wanting to get pregnant and do not have the money for an OBGYN as my husband just got OUT of the military. we have been trying to conceive for almost 3 years now with no luck. any information would be amazing! thanks!

i was seriously going to contemplate this too, but i stopped myself. i could never live with myself if it did serious damage, as you dont know what you are getting and taking. tho one story here is very encouraging, there could easily be bad stories to match it. i am in ireland and i dont think my gp can prescribe this to me, it has to be ekgyne. going back this week so going to ask him to put me on it, he is a bit grumpy tho and scares me a bit!!!
