i have 2 full drawers full of baby clothes ...never thought it will take us this long
i love to look at them sometimes ...and sometimes i don't look in it for many month ...but when i do it actually feel like Christmas i go like .."wow ! oh i forgot i got that on sale ....oh that so cute ...etc.."

im the same i have to put mine away then out thay come after a few months and then im even more broody and then i get a few tears and think why cant i juat get pregnant when i had 2 babys 19 and 16 years ago hek that seems ages any way we just have to keep trying and never give up good luck

Hi girls.....what a good post!-Well,....although i havn't purchased any baby stuff, i have come close soooooooo many times!!!-And......is it just me, or do you check out all the latest maternity clothing too?-I am also abit of a shopaholic when it comes to clothes and shoes, and i especially go weak at the knees with baby clothes for girls........soooooo pretty!!!If we do manage to get pregnant, i am going to have one heck of a spending spree, thats for sure!!!!

I have bought a few bibs, boots, baby toys etc, I haven't bought anything for ages though...even the things I have bought will probably be disintegrated by the time our baby gets here

This is a great post - and I must admit to being a bit surprised at some of the answers so far.

All I have are a few books and some freebies from baby magazines. I sometimes want to buy baby things, but i don't want to jinx myself. Maybe I'm the mad one for not buying anything... I think you girls have now given me an excuse for going out and buying stuff.

I am always looking at baby stuff and in baby shops but so far apart from a few books I have resisted the urge to buy. But......dh went away to Austraila with work and came home with the cutest baby jumper and said he couldnt resist and it wasnt like he would be able to go back and get it. So I have packed that away and do get it out every now and again to look at.

I don't dare buy anything...or even look. I don't want to tempt fate. Plus DH would go nuts if I got anything!

I couldn't bare it if I had loads of stuff then never managed to conceive. Then I'd have to get rid of it all and that would break me.

before i got pregnant whith my first son who now is 19 i bought this tiny pair of flip flop and my mum said your tempting fate you watch out you dont grt pregnant and guess what i got pregnant the thing is i wasnt even trying to have a baby huh so i will still carry on buying baby things i cant resit

In fact, the room we'd planned for a nursery is currently a study with desk etc, but I'd been holding off doing anything more permenant like putting pictures and shelves up so we didn't have to redo it all when we the need for a nursery came along.... well, after 15 tries, I've decided sod that.... perhaps that was my jinx so it's all going up.... now, where's that hammer.....

dont be silly your nt left out id never buy anything untill past 20 weeks. OH refuses to let me he said even when im preg he wont paint the nursery untill i give birth.
Fair enough my reason is due to multiple m/cs and the fact my child might not be born normally if i ever getthe chance. but i think buying stuff.. if like me you have a very hard time and find you cant have kids you have stuff ul keep looking at that will rip you appart.. thats always been my way of thinking.

I've been tempted so many times but never bought anything. Bought loads for friends babies and nieces and nephews when I come across something I really can't resist. That way I don't feel like I am jinxing myself and I am pretty sure most of it will be coming back this way when/if we finally get there because they will all have finished their families by then!!
