I went into hospital on Thursday 22nd October for my planned induction. I was being induced due to my diabetes.
I arrived at the hospital at 2pm, after being sent home at 8am as they had been too busy to admit me.
I was given the pessary around 3pm. I went into labour at around midnight, as I had various drips I was given an epidural to stop me moving around with the drips.
I was in the 1st stage of labour for 12 ½ hours. My 2nd stage of labour only lasted 4 mins and my epidural had worn off by then, as I didn’t want it topped up for this stage. My gorgeous little girl Caitlin Grace was born at 04:43 on the 24 – 10 – 2009 weighing 5lb 13oz.
