Calling all symptom spotters!

Stitch mine have gone from 28 day cycles (before bc implant) to 40 day cycles (after implant removed) My doctor told me this is normal, as long as they're regular, and I still had a LP of at least 11 days.
Other things can affect the length of your cycle, such as certain foods, stress, tiredness, weight and even the amount of sexual activity during the cycle :) Try not to worry. I would suggest charting your cycles for a few months to get a bigger picture and start to recognise patterns :) (unless of course you get your :bfp: next cycle! :D)

Akilgore have you tested yet?

SMGP, yes! My nipples are constantly hard! Even when I'm not cold, and when I am cold...oh my god. They hurt so bad! I'm only wearing one of those 'ah bras' at the moment, because I can't face a normal one! When are you testing? I'm excited for you :)

Michaelap, I'm sorry for AF arrival. Onwards to the next cycle! :hugs:

Welcome MrsPotato! 4DPO is still early for symptoms, but I got symptoms from 5dpo, and my :bfp: around 11dpo. :) Feel free to come and post on here to help pass time, we all like new friends!! FX and :dust: for you!

Hi all!

Sorry to butt into the conversation, but I've been keeping up with it while I do some serious SS myself! I've been TTC for 8 months, and for the first time ever I'm late for my period! FF says I'm 4 days late, and Webmd says I'm 6 days late. I find all that bit rather confusing.

Have gotten some weird symptoms....sore boobs, sensitive nipples, headaches, neverending heartburn (!!!! ugh!,) abdominal twinges and light cramping (not the same as AF cramping,) bloating (i look like 70's Elvis over here,) fatigue and lower back pain that also sometimes makes my butt and hips ache. I had a little crying episode over the last symptom :-/ Did I mention I'm emotional? I'm also struggling with insomnia..which blows because I've always loved my sleep! Find myself waking up earlier and many times throughout the night.

Not sure what to make of it, but DH and I are afraid to test until this weekend or next week in fear of a BFN. These symptoms are dif from the norm in relation to AF, but I'm terrified to get disappointed.

I've also noticed an increase in CM today. I keep running to the bathroom, assuming it's an emergency, only to discover everything is fine. Has anyone else had this? Is it normal to have CM increase like this when you're around 17 dpo?

Hello ladies! Am new here and nice reading all the thoughts and sharing of symptoms, also, the support among all of you all over the places. This is our 2nd month trying, am now 4dpo but no sign of anything, probably too early to tell? Arghhh...counting the days is such a tough thing to do!

Welcome!

The TWW is the WORST! (And this is only our 1st month of actively trying!)
I had a few little symptoms at 4dpo (mostly very sore breasts) but 4dpo is still very early! When do you plan on testing?

If you are 4-6 days late, I would say TEST AWAY!!! No way I could wait.

I know what you mean! It is SOOOOO cold in Minnesota right now! (Last night it was like 5 degrees.) When I was outside yesterday it felt like my nips were icicles!
I really do not know what to think at this point! I usually get sore boobs before af (like I said before) but it NEVER starts 2 weeks before AF is due! (And nips NEVER this sore) And it seems to be getting worse and worse everyday. Plus, the blue veins in my boobs have NEVER been there before!

I am 10dpo now, I tested at 8dpo (7:30 at night)...BFN..surprise surprise. I know it is still early. I think I am going to wait until Friday or Saturday ( 12-13 dpo)

If I do not get a BFP, I am going to be frustrated for more than just not getting a BFP. I don't know if I can deal with another 2ww with boobs THIS sore. I am at home right now so I am just wearing a sweatshirt, and nips hurt just rubbing up against the sweatshirt!

Tested again this morning and BFN again! So today I am 8 days late with no sign of AF....
A BFP would be nice!

I feel like as soon as I call the doctor to make my appointment I will get AF, so I'm so hesitant to call!

Imhis - wow those seem pretty positive symptoms to me! I don't know how you haven't tested yet!! I had all of your symptoms, except the butt and hip ache, before I got my :bfp:. I'd say go for it and test.

SMGP - for me, the blue veins and sore nips were a sure sign that I should get my :bfp:, but it wasn't until looking back that I realise that. I was thinking that maybe I always got the blue veins, I just didn't pay enough attention! Sometimes, a high level of progesterone can cause the blue veins, too, so I'm not saying for sure you'll get a :bfp:, but to me, it sounds pretty positive. :)

Akilgore - some people don't get a positive test until upto 2 weeks after a missed period, but I would go and see a dr considering you are this late. Have you always had regular cycles and are you temping/charting?

Always regular and I'm not temping or doing anything for that matter. Just going with the flow.

I missed a few pills in my BCP pack this last month as I just didn't really care since this was the last month I was planning to be on it. So it can't be my body getting used to getting off BCP yet since this was my last pack.

Thank you SMGP! Yea, it is torturing counting the days and you know what, somehow rather, my gutt feeling tells me it is not gonna work this round and I just feel frustrated. I don't plan to do any testing until if my AF is late as my AF is normally quite on time.

Sigh...been trying very hard to feel for any symptoms but...nope...nothing unusual...:nope::cry: i have been such a good girl, staying away from coffee as I usually have atleast a cup a day and not touching any liquor...if AF comes, am gonna drink for sure!

Sorry ladies, for being emotional...

Hey! Yeah, you are right...I know a lot of my symptoms are caused from a spike in progesterone. I know I have never gotten the veins before though. I had a lump rwmoved from my breast a few years back so I am pretty conscious of the look and feel of them. But, I am not getting my hopes all the way up! It sucks that pms/progesterone mimics pregnancy symptoms! So frustrating! I am trying to expect the worst so I won't be too let down!

Haha I know what ya mean. I haven't been drinking either....but I feel like I should have a bottle of wine on back up if af comes! When are you going to test?

Testing probably only if AF is late for maybe 2 days, which will be...oh my...X'mas!:dohh:

Hi ladies, its been a while since I posted on this thread, I haven't had much to say. lol. AF got me in the end and I am currently cd11.

Mrs. Potato, I find that amusing because I'm predicted to O on Christmas. LOL. It is going to make for an eventful day because I have to visit my mom, brother, aunt, cousin and in-laws houses all on that day. Here's to :xmas6:

I see that y'all have started using names, mines Michelle, my friends call me Elle, but Anime is ok too. Y'all can choose which to call me, I'll respond to all of those.

If only we could sue progesterone, huh? :haha:

That would be AMAZING!! How is your pregnancy going so far? Are you going to find out the sex?
How have things been going with the hubby?
Hope you're doing well!

Well I went ahead and had my blood drawn at work yesterday and then sent it off to the lab to see if there was any hcg in it. Nothing. It came back negative. Now I don't know if there was a minuscule amount or just flat out nothing. It just came back as negative.

Still no period though. Only creamy white cm. I'll keep waiting...

Hey again everyone! AF has flown the coop so I'm prepping for this cycle. I should be o'ing on New Years Eve! I may be at the inlaws, so it's going to prove a tricky mission... but I'm determined! Even if we have to go for a 'walk' in the woods. Could be interesting :haha:

Add a blanket and a prepared basket and you have a romantic picnic on New Years.

usually is a low threshold..see the reference range? when my hospital was private it was <6, now that another facility owns us, it's <2..see if you can check the threshold to be sure?

So far so good, thanks! The insomnia seems to have shifted, and now I'm just exhausted ALL the time!
I plan to find out the sex, but as my whole family know, we're laying bets because every woman on mums side has had female first borns, but every female on dads side has had male first borns! I'm going to get the sonographer to write it down on a piece of paper, fold it up and give it to me, then get the family together, lay the bets, and find out together. I think it just makes it more fun that way!
Haven't spoken to OH since he's told me he wants to sell the house. Mama and I are currently looking for a 4 bedroom house so we can move in together and start afresh now I'm doing this all alone. I'm absolutely heartbroken, and so far, bean is the only thing keeping me going. I asked OH him if he is going to contribute to anything regarding the baby, and I got back "I don't know. Maybe. If I feel like it, but probably not." But I believe everything in life is a lesson, and I'll learn from this.

Hope you're feeling okay! xx
