My son is 4 months old. His sleep has never been great (except at 5 weeks old when he slept through for 10 days)
Sometimes he seems a bit distressed so a few nights in the last month I have given him calpol and he seems to sleep much better.
My question is is Calpol known to have a sedative or sleeping effect on babies? I am happy to give him Calpol if it's making him sleep better because it's giving him pain relief for maybe trapped wind or teeth but I don't want to give it just to make him sleep. I don't want to keep giving it to him if it's just a side effect of Calpol rather than the Calpol resolving a symptom
