Can a baby suddenly go off their formula at 11 weeks?

My baby is 11 weeks old and in the last week seems to suddenly have really gone off his formula. Nothing has changed - we have given him Hipp Organic since we started him on formula (couldn't breast feed).

Is it possible for them to just go off it? He fed really well up until 10 weeks.

He now has a few sips of it from the teat then literally pushes the bottle out of his mouth. He sometimes cries and arches his back but other times he doesn't cry and lets me put the teat back in his mouth (whereby he'll then push it out again with his hand).

It would be a shame to have to change the formula, as I really wanted him on this organic one, but if he will drink another one then I will of COURSE change it.

Should I change the formula?

Should I go up a teat? (he's currently on no. 2 teat).

Could it be reflux?

It couldn't be lactose intolerance could it? (not 'suddenly').

Any ideas very welcome.

i would def take him to the dr and find out whats going on. he still needs to eat and will get dehydrated and malnutrition very quickly.

Nah I don't think they go off it for no reason. It could be the teat but you need to take him to the docs straightaway as his milk is his only source of nutrition (unless you're breastfeeding as well). He could get poorly very quickly if he's not taking on enough milk....better to be on the safe side and take him to the walk in clinic or something in the morning hun. You won't have a prob getting an appointment for a small baby as they are priority:thumbup:

Hope he's ok :hugs:

Any time my babies refused to feed there was a reason - the most common is ear infection or teething - either way I'd have him checked over.

Same as above... I would have him checked out by a doctor. I don't think he would just decide not to like his formula... good luck!
