Can anyone explain this to me?

Dates and numbers:
There are 82 days until your due date on April 20, 2011.
You are 198 days pregnant.
You are 6.5 months pregnant.
You are in your 7th month of pregnancy.
Your 1st trimester: July 14, 2010 to October 12, 2010. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: October 13, 2010 to January 25, 2011. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: January 26, 2011 to April 20, 2011. (28 - 40 weeks)

How is it that I am 6.5 months pregnant, but I am in my 7th month of pregnancy??

Because you have done 6 full months already so you are in your seventh month.

Just like when your baby is born... He or she will be 0 but be in their first year.

I just always talk in weeks because the month thing is so confusing.

Yeah I always count in weeks. That usually works. But then someone asks how many months that is, and I'm like "um.... 4.3 times 6...nope that's not right. 4.3 times 7....nope. Okay I'm like 6 and a half."

I just look at the weeks and say i am neary 7 months ie 28 weeks as the majority of weeks in a month is 4 so that s how i work it, also when i am 40 weeks )not that i have ever got to 40 weeks before) I will just say I am fullterm plus how ever many days overdue i am at that stage a much easier way to explain where I am xx
