Can anyone offer advice on this or have they been suffering with the same I have had two or three sort of funny turns over past week all of a sudden I feel like I don't have energy to lift an arm even and I feel feel dizzy and sick and sometimes I do throw up. It's like I can't speak I'm so exhausted I have to go lie down for an hour and I feel a bit shaky too. It's passed again now mind you I'm still lead down I have midwife tomorrow so will ask her but has anyone else had this late on?? I'm 38 weeks and I haven't particularly over done it today Ive been home done a few bits round the house but mainly watched TV.
I'm drinking lots and I've even cereals, fruit, sandwich, piece if cake (its now 6:30pm in uk so ill have some dinner but i dont feel i can stomach it at mo) so I've eaten a fair bit too

Thanks in advance xx

Do you have a maternity assessment or triage? I would really contact them xx

I've been feeling similar. Started on iron supplements. Although I'm still totally exhausted the dizzy spells are gone.

I phoned my assessment centre for the same thing today. Although I haven't been sick

They told me dizziness is normal but if it was bad again tomorrow to call back an they'll run a blood test

I'd ring mw or unit for peace of mind

Do you have any blurry vision or swollen feet or hands or headaches at all? As these can be signs of pre eclempsia so worth getting checked

Sorry you're not feeling so good. I agree with everyone else that you should call your dr. Recently I've been getting dizzy spells and nausea as well but mainly in the morning. My dr. didn't seem to be too concerned after she checked me.

I've read that its not uncommon for nausea to return in the 3rd semester. Also I think in my case lying on my back may contribute to the dizziness because of the pressure on the blood vessels. It makes sense that I tend to feel worse in the morning as I usually sleep on my back. Here's some info I found when I searched online for myself;

Russell Turk
obstetrician

If you typically sleep on your back, it's safe to continue doing so through the first trimester. But as your uterus gets heavier around mid-pregnancy, it's best to choose another position.

When you lie on your back, the weight of your uterus presses on the major vein that returns blood from your lower body to your heart. Lying on your back for an extended period of time could make you feel dizzy. It could also interfere with the flow of blood and nutrients to the placenta and your developing baby.

This is particularly a problem if you have a condition like high blood pressure or diabetes that affects how much oxygen and nutrients the baby is getting.

Try to train yourself to sleep on your side or sitting propped up. If you sleep on your side, put a pillow behind your back or in front of your chest so that you can lean back or forward. A pillow between your legs can also help make side sleeping more comfortable.

Don't be alarmed if you go to sleep on your side and wake up flat on your back. It happens all the time and shouldn't have any serious adverse effect on your baby's health. Just shift your position and go back to sleep.

Hope you feel better soon :flower:

Thank you everyone
I phoned midwife they wanted me to go in for checks
Everything seems fine and they have no idea what caused it, but they've told me to be completely rested next couple of days not to drive or basically do anything lol - oh and keep my feet raised as they are swollen.
So I'm led in bed watching crap TV itching to tidy up but know I can't :-(
