Can Clomid actually STOP you from ovulating?

Because, for the third month in a row, now, I haven't ovulated whilst taking it. My temps are still way, way low (usually up to about 98.9 after ovulation and currently languishing at 98.0) I have had no ovulation cramps (usually get them quite severely) and my OPKs for the first month were positive every single day, for the second month never saw a sniff of a positive and yet again this month have been positive every day.

All Clomid seems to have done for me is regulate my cycle. The problem is, it seems to be preventing me from doing what it's supposed to MAKE me do, i.e. ovulate.

no idea my lovely, seems so odd tho doesnt it?? have you googled it??? maybe worth going back to your docs and telling them that you have noticed since taking it, you arent actually ovulating, and like you say thats what clomid is supposed to do??!

I am not positive but I think anything that messes with the biochemistry of your body can affect ovulation so it is possible it has stopped you from Oing but probably not very likely to be the cause.

I could have sworn that I hear Clomid can affect your temps too so do not give up hope. If you are really worried, ask for cd21 blood tests to confirm O or scans to see if you have follicles. That cuts all that guess work right out.

Good luck!

I only wish I was offered monitoring whilst on Clomid but I will be honest, ever since I have been under investigation I've received half arsed treatment. My last consultation was a post-op consultation TWO MONTHS after Lap and Dye. OH had been for his SA, I had been for my blood tests, I had been for lap and dye. How long was I in there? About two or three minutes.

"You have Endo stage 2, your tubes are not blocked, and your sperm is fine. Here. Have some Clomid and I will see you in four months time." That was it. After two months of waiting, that was the gist of the visit.

So, how I have been sent away to take Clomid, which has made me even WORSE because whilst I didn't ovulate every month it was mostly every other month and now I haven't ovulated for three whole cycles yet have suffered the most hideous side effects ever.

To say I am fecked off is an understatement.
