I'm not sure if CAB deal with it but I would definitely think about going to speak to someone about it. The law seems like its pretty one sided but then you start to get to the bottom of it and its not really, like Dave has previously posted if he has parental rights then he is entitled to know certain information, to have a say in certain decisions and you by law should involve him in a certain degree but its all hazy, you need to really speak to someone who knows the law properly, like I said, it depends on a lot of factors but the police wouldn't be able to help because you don't have any official documentation regarding Maisie.

Yes if there's no actual custody order he could potentially keep her forever as long as he gives you access too. When my SD came home with second degree burns we didn't give her back until we'd sorted out the who why what and where of those burns, and agreed that if anything happened again she had to take her to the hospital right away and call us right away. That was a week or two later, where we'd been having her one week on one week off. She called the cops for kidnapping, he double checked her, we explained the reason behind the burns and that it's why we were keeping her and he left. This is in Canada, mind you.
