can i ask how many scans u have had?

im concerned after reading conflicting info on here about ultrasound scans not being safe, or us needing to minimise the amount we have

my friend had 12 through her pregnancy and baby was fine. ive had 3 so far and need to have 1 more and am considering an additional 4d one. but now not sure if i should

im really just lookin for some reassurance- if any1 here has had extra scans done either with this pregnancy or previous and if all was/ still seems ok?

High risk pregnancies often have extra scans.... if it wasnt safe they wouldnt be done on someone high risk hun x

Ive had 5 so far and soon to be 6 when i get one sat... but wish i didnt have to have them all.. i have only had those as was bleeding and things and then one was my 12 week scan and the one sat is going to be my gender scan!! Im also classed as high risk so aswell as my 20 week scan im being scanned at 28 weeks and 34 weeks too!!! xx

Ive had 5 so far, and They want me to have extra growth scans to keep an eye on her because of the condition she's carrying, Ive got one every 2 weeks from 28 weeks too! xx

I didnt know they werent safe...I've had two so far, an early one because of bleeding, and one at 12 weeks. I've got another one in 3 weeks time but i think that will be the last unless the bleeding comes back again in the future.

I have had one so far and I have one scheduled for Sept 27th! My insurance approved me for 12 so we will see how many I end up having

angeldust dont worry im not saying they're not safe, its just someone on here keeps posting links to websites that claim u shouldnt have scans that arent done for non medical reasons, and scared a lot of people.(u may have seen it, it was a thread originally askin bout 3d and 4d scans) and i have been awake all night worrying as ive had to have 6 scans already and am now considering cancelling my gender scan, which i was really excited about.
the poster made a horrible frightening comment and administrators have closed the thread but it really upset me, i suffer from anxiety disorder and things like this make me feel awful

I've had 3 so far. I had a scan every 4 weeks with DD1 so about 9 and she is perfectly healthy. They would not be used on an unborn baby if there was any doubt what so ever in the medical profession. Don't worry hun, enjoy them xx

I've had 3 so far and due for at least one more. Its just sound waves, I don't see how that can be dangerous.

I had one at 9 weeks due to spotting. I had my 12 week and will have a 20 week. Have also been scheduled for a 30 week growth scan x
