Basically, I used to work in a care home full time, but left a year ago to start a new job. However, I am still employed with them as a Casual worker. I haven't done any casual shifts though.
I claim SMP from my full time job, but wondered if I could do casual work for the care home? I have been employed by them for 3 years.

Thank you ! x

No. If you're working (even casually), you would no longer be on maternity leave. So you would no longer be able to claim SMP.

You can work 10 days as KIT days, the only way to do anymore is as self-employed rather than an employee I believe.

You can't do self employed work while claiming SMP, it still counts as work.

"If you do any work in a self-employed capacity during your MPP, then such work will not affect your SMP."

Further investigation may be warranted......
