Can I start taking progesterone *after* BFP?

My luteal phase has always been 12 days so I don't think I have a progesterone deficiency, but my doctor prescribed it as a precaution after my 3 early mc. But I really don't want to screw up my regular cycles by taking it if it's not necessary.

So I'm thinking of starting them only after I get a . Is this a done thing???

I am not sure about your particular medication situation, but my FS gave me progesterone to start taking as soon as I get a BFP. Some docs say to take it after O. I think it depends on the doc and the patient's case.
