Can peeing on a test to high cause a false negative ?

Picked up an Asda supermarket brand test but didn’t have a sample cup so had to try and do it ‘ free stream’ peeing directly onto it ( sorry tmi)

can this cause a false positive ?

It was really liney going up but the two lines were both up and visible within about 2 minutes …

Just took another with a 2 hour hold and it’s completely clear .
The one I took this morning was with a 6 hour hold and I’m not due af till tomorrow. .

worried I may have routined the test and now for my hopes up

First morning pee can just be more concentrated early on hence the blank test later in the day maybe?
I think peeing on them still works just fine as long as you don’t soak the window part of the test and even then the chemicals ought to still react ok mostly.

Im sorry af arrived

I peed on an opk mid stream (the dip test ones) and got it a bit higher up and it came up blazing positive but tested again next pee and days after and definitely not even close to positive until a week later. So i think it may be possible to invalidate the test.
