Can someone help me with dates please?:)

Ok so long story but..I had a miscarriage at 16 weeks in February since then I've had really bizarre cycles- my constant 28day cycle has been replaced with one I don't follow with my period coming any day from 23-26. My last period started on the 30th of May which was day 23- I'm pretty sure I would have ovulated a lot earlier than I used to based on the 28day cycles I used to have.
On 21st June I got a positive pregnancy test- the midwife rang me today and said it doesn't add up- I know it's all a bit bizarre. Would I have likely ovulated early and then be further along than my period dictates?
Hope you can understand me- sorry to ramble!

ever since my mc's last year my cycle is crazy. I too used to have solid 28 day cycles, now they range from 27-34! BUT this is the kicker, I used to ALWAYS ovulate on cycle day 18, always. Now, it's anywhere between day 12 and 20! LOL

Did you track anything during that cycle? EWCM? Temps? OPK strips?

I didn't track anything, I had a feeling I was ovulating around day 7 but it was just a feeling :-/
The midwife wants me to have a 6 week scan but I have no idea when 6 weeks is... I'm thinking maybe I should stick with the date from my period and if I'm ahead it's a bonus.
I have never tested positive at 3 week pregnant before though!!

Congrats on your bfp, I would just go by lmp to set up the 6 week scan. Of course, measurements this early can be off +/- 1 week, so it really won't tell you much except baby is healthy and growing. I think by week 12 they can make a more accurate dating measurement.

i got a faint positive at 10dpo, which was only CD21 because i ovulated early. that put me at 3 weeks exactly, so it's definitely possible to be 3 weeks pregnant. it *does* make the nurses raise an eyebrow at your dates, but a pee test doesn't lie! (at least in my experience, that's what happened!) i would say if the cycle before was only 23 days, then ovulating early and getting a positive hpt early is also possible. also, i would just count from your LMP too, then, like you say, being further along is a bonus. good luck!!
