Can ultrasound tech really see hair?

Today during my Ultrasound, the ultrasound tech pointed out that baby girl has alot of hair! Is it really possible for them to see?

Yes, I could see it on a 2d ultrasound also.

They pointed it out at my ultrasound with DS and he was born with a head full

I'll be asking this at my ultrasound in 3 weeks. Hoping she has lots of thick black hair lol

I had a 2d done at 32 weeks to check for a source of bleeding and the tech pointed out the hair along his head it was pretty neat. Even if it all does fall out eventually.
