Can you believe it!?!?

I am lost for words. I got home today to find a message on the answerphone from the hospital...

"You appear to have been booked into the wrong clinic in september and therefore we have cancelled your appointment with the infertility clinic and booked you in at the colposcopy clinic. Your new appointment is on...."

What the hell?!?!? Do they know how long it has taken to get here? I called them back and explained that we should be seeing a fertility specialist following a gp referral and she said she would have to call my gp to clarify the mix up but that the september appointment has now been taken by someone else! She couldnt book me another until she has checked, so now I dont know when we will be able to go!

Why is this happening? Its not like TTC isnt stressfull enough.

The last time I saw my gp I mentioned something that my accupuncturist had mentioned about scarringbeing caused by any proceedures that you may have had on your cervix. I knew that I had had something done after several abnormal smear and so asked my gp about it. She dug out the letter from the hospital who did the proceedure and said that it should be included in the paperwork to send to the fertility specialist.

I guess this is how I mistakenly ended up being booked in for another colposcopy!! Damn it. I am so upset that my appointment was cancelled when we were finally getting somewhere

I'm so sorry Fluffy. That is so discouraging. They should fix this problem as it was their mistake, not yours. Hope they sort it all out for you. Damned idiots.

You poor thing; I can imagine how upset / angry you must be. I am sure they will get it sorted for your quickly once you speak to your GP though.. Good luck and of course I hope you get a surprise BFP before September anyway! X

Oh my word!!! I think I would have gone to the hospital and been hysterical there...I think most people underestimate HOW hard ttc is emotionally so for them cancelling "just another appointment" is business as usual!

I really hope this gets sorted. But if I were you, Id go to the gp and let her know EXACLTY how you feel about this. Otherwise, everything will be brushed under the carpet and you'll be re-scheduled for January!!!!!

How frustrating, you should raise a bit of a stink. Not alot but enough so you aren't forgotten. They need to fix this.

This makes me sooooo mad because i know exactly how you feel!! They can be so inconsiderate sometimes! I had an appointment for my lap and dye booked in for 5th May and then 2 weeks before they cancelled it saying they had a more important procedure to do that day! So they booked me in for the 2nd july! Then i came back from holiday and had a letter from the hospital. I jokingly said to my husband 'i bet they're cancelling it again' and i opened the letter and they tried to cancel it again as they said they had another important op to do and re-scheduled it for August 28th!!! Can you believe the cheek! As you can imagine i went absolutely ape sh*t at the hospital! Anyway, after a few irrate phonecalls i managed to get is scheduled for the 5th July!

You really need to kick up a stink otherwise they think they can get away with it all the time!! Where are you being treated?

They're useless and need to learn to COMMUNICATE!!

OMG that is awful. My only advice would be to go through the PALS office at the hospital, they really seem to get things moving.
