It doesn't put you in labour. It tones your uterus over a period of time so your contractions are more efficient. It also helps with the pushing stage. I doubt it would help during labour unless you enjoy it, then it might help you relax :)

In that case is it safe for me to start drinking it?
because it sounds nice

You'd be best limiting it hun as it is a uterine stimulant and your body won't be used to it. Most people start with 1 cup per day at 32weeks and then gradually increase to a maximum of 4 cups per day, ie I did it

32-33+6 - 1cup per day
34-35+6 - 2cups per day
36-37+6 - 3cups per day
37+ - 4cups per day

I have a box of tea in my birth box as I quite like the taste and it is refreshing

I wish I'd started it sooner. I meant to, just never got around to it. And I think my uterus needs practice contracting. I'm gonna by some today. Maybe it will help at little.

I took it from 32 weeks, still went 12 days overdue and had to be induced. I was only pushing for 10 mins though and afterbirth was all out 7 seconds after baby!!!
