Can you eat cold corned beef from the tin??

Im 9 weeks pregnant, and i havent had cold corned beef yet, but would really like some! Ive had some cooked, as corn beef hash, but was just wondering if you can eat it from the tin cold? I would really like a corn beef sandwhich But if its not considered safe i won't bother. Just wondered what advice you ladies have been given? And if any of you eat it or not x

Whether it's canned or packaged, nuke it until it's steaming and it'll be ok.

Ok, phew, I just googled it and as long as they're cooked we're ok. HALLELUJAH

Be cautious when eating hot dogs, luncheon meats, or deli meats unless they are properly reheated to steaming( or 160 degrees F.): Eating out at certain restaurants that provide deli meat sandwiches is not recommended for pregnant women since they do not reheat their deli meats. Restaurants such as Subway recommends that pregnant women eat the following non-luncheon meat items such as meatball, steak and cheese, roasted chicken, and tuna (limit 2 servings a week).

I find it odd that Subway's tuna is okay; I thought deli salads we didn't prepare ourselves were unsafe...?

Robin, my doc told me yesterday to avoid tuna as much as possible because of the mercury levels. She also said before that the reason you should avoid hot dogs is because they have nitrates in them. I found some all-natural hot dogs though that are nitrate free, so she said yesterday that I can eat as many as I want!
