Hi everyone,

We are currently 5-7 weeks pregnant, not sure as I have PCOS so ovulate irregularly. This is my second pregnancy (first miscarried) so I am terrified of miscarriage. I have a partial uterine septum, not a full one so I am wondering if anyone knows how this will affect the pregnancy? My family doctor said it was only partial so wouldn't affect it like a full one would and that my PCOS wouldn't increase my miscarriage risk even though I've read online that PCOS does increase the risk.

My first u/s isn't until April 3rd, so I'm wondering how common it is to miscarry with no bleeding? I haven't had any bleeding or anything and my boobs are slightly tender, I feel full and dizzy now and then, but haven't puked or anything, my nipples haven't darkened and I don't urinate frequently....

Also, the nurse who called with my blood results said that I was 5, maybe 6 weeks pregnant. Was that probably based off of HCG levels? HPT's show the pregnancy sign immediately with only a few drops of urine...

I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I had some answers for you. I hop some PCOS ladies on here can give you an idea of their stories to help.
As far as early miscarriages I can speak to that. I always had severe cramping and bleeding with mine. I think later in pregnancy you can uncover miscarriage because of a scan and not have outside symptoms. I wish there was an easy way to know for sure if a pregnancy was going to go to term. I am sorry that the best most people can say is wait and see.

I never thought I would have a healthy pregnancy after 5 losses before 6 weeks. We had moved onto adoption when we fell pregnant this time and this little guy has stuck around. We believe he is a gift from God. We don't know why this pregnancy is so different but we are thankful it is. I really hope that this is your forever baby too. Hoping that you can relax until your scan. Symptoms coming and going, or not being very noticeable can be totally normal. Try not to read too much into how you are feeling.

Wishing you all the very best xx

Hi,

I had the same worries, too (and before every appointment, scan, etc), but my 'rainbow' came last month (see below), so try not to stress too much --

a missed miscarriage is very rare and usually, there is some sign that something isn't right (that said, I am not a doctor and it might appear that missed mc is 'everywhere', especially on chat rooms, etc.), e.g. backache, headache, spotting. I thought I had the flu the month I got pregnant (and delayed taking a test because I figured that it was just erratic as usual (have PCOS/underactive thyroid and cycles went from 21 to 44 days)), I didn't start having 'traditional' symptoms' until around wks8-10, (but was very tired, achey beforehand so figured flu) -- my boobs were always tender premenstrual and worse, after the mc -- every month had the infamous blue veins (so after two years post-mc, didn't rush out to get a test!).

Just take it one day at a time -- I worried every time before and after any appointments (not during, tho) and how you feel, is normal! Also, stop googling 'missed miscarriage', 'miscarriage statistics' and 'pregnancy problems'....

best wishes
