This is so annoying ladies. Every time I stand up and start to do something I begin sweating profusely like a cold sweat and then I feel kind of light headed. I am not anemic ( been tested) only issue is low blood pressure. It's really getting to me :(. I feel like I can't get anything done... Anyone feel like this?

I used to feel like this in the last part of my pregnancy with DD. I have no idea why but I could never stand for more than a few minutes without feeling like I was going to pass out and then I got all panicky which didn't help :(
I have no advice as nothing helped me apart from sitting down regularly :(

Yeah I get this :( crapness. I hope you feel better soon xx

It's your blood pressure. Honestly. I went into town yesterday and was mortified that I couldn't actually stay in a shop more than 4/5 minutes if it didn't have a chair without literally feeling like I was on the verge of fainting. Whole cold sweats, room spinning, glitter in front of my eyes.... I actually abandoned my 8 year old child and went outside to sit on the pavement! Ridiculous :( and not a damn thing I can do about it :( I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack and have a sudden claustrophobic urge to get out and lie down :(

U just described me to a tee! I'm afraid to go anywhere alone because it can strike at anytime and when it does I feel like panicking because u can't control it :( it's truley awful. It's even happenned in the car while driving... I have alot of preparing to do for baby And I can't because if I'm up for too long I start to feel this way. It starts with a horrible cold sweat but alot if it, like through my clothes and then my eyesight goes funny and I just know I need to lie down or sit. God, I can't wait until this stops it's driving me crazy! I'm spending my days on a couch because of it. I've tried eating regularly, drinking tons if water and eating sugary snacks but nothing helps. I feel like crying.

It's horrendous. I had to finish for maternity leave earlier than planned as I fainted in theatre in the middle of a section and knocked myself clean out on the theatre trolley :( I do find lucozade can sometimes fend it off though that's not really healthy.

Oh no! U poor thing! It's terrible. Really hoping that when baby gets out the blood pressure will stabilize along with sugar Levels and blood volume and we can feel normal again. This is hell. I feel incapable and completely dependant on help from dh and family it's draining on them :(

I was like that with my first, really bad hormones. Now I have dizzy spells this past few days with this one and the sweats. I think its hormones if you have ruled all else out. Really do do strange things to you.

Its different for every one. I managed to avoid it this whole preg apart from sick first tri right up till now where I am 41 weeks. All you can do is chill out if you can. Not a fan of them symptoms always preferred baby in arms.

If it's your BP it normally rises slightly in 3rd trimester after taking a dip in late 2nd. I'm afraid I think you're stuck with it as am I. My booking BP was 85/50 and I had hubby do it the other day immediately following a faint and it was 70/40. Not great.

My heartbeat gets really fast and i feel sick when I'm standing sometimes. I don't think it will go away until baby comes out!

I started getting that a lot too towards the end. It started getting to the point where I couldn't stand for even 5 min at all. I would get dizzy, sweaty and my hands would tremble. I had to leave work and rush to hospital because I wasn't feeling well. My midwife said that was enough and made me go on maternity leave at 38 weeks. I found the only thing that has stopped it has been me being home and not working. Ever since that it has stopped... I think all the stress from work and all the stuff I was dealing with there was getting to me.

Yes, I get this too!!

I don't get the sweats but I get really dizzy, nauseous and hot and I have to sit down or I feel like I will faint.

It's truly awful. :hugs:

Not sweaty but shortness of breath and lightheadedness. Sometimes it's so bad I will HAVE to stop what I'm doing and lay down. Not just sit, but actually lay down for a few. I feel like my belly is so heavy it makes it hard to breathe properly.

Geez. I'm glad I'm not the only one suffering ... My dr keeps telling me it's normal and that I have very low bp and that's why. It really sucks. I can't wait to feel like myself again ... Hope we all feel better soon xx

Didn't read through the entire thread so sorry if I repeat...

However, for you ladies with low blood pressure experiencing malaise, you can try increasing your salt intake a bit. This normally helps increase your bp some. Drinking something like electrolytes/sports drink when it happens might help. Just be sure the drink doesn't contain too much sugar if that is an issue for you. :flower:

Hi everyone- I'm so glad I found this post via google. Does anyone know what this is called? None of my doctors can figure it out and I didn't read anything about this in any pregnancy books. For me I have felt this way for about 6-7 weeks now, I'm at week 33 today. My blood pressure is fine, I'm not anemic, my iron levels are good, as per the doctor I couldn't be healthier- so why do I feel like I'm going to die from standing for 5 minutes? My OB finally sent me to a cardiologist where they did an EKG, ECHO, Venous Ulstrasound scan (of my legs) to check for blook clots. I also did a 24 hour heart rate moniter. All tests came back perfect. I broke down crying in the room bc I feel far from perfect. They sent me home to do the heart rate moniter for another 24 hours but on bed rest to compare. I can't stand for long enough to cook a meal, unload the dishes from the dishwasher or take a shower (yes I even have a chair in my shower) it's really unbearable, frustrating not understanding this and beyond debilitating. I can't go grocery shopping and have given up on the electric carts, with 2 trips minimum to the bathroom and since they go so slow- my battery dies before I'm ready to check out- it's pathetic! The other day at Macy's there was nobody to ring me up and I thought I might pass out so I actually walked around the register and sat on the counter till somebody got there.

I have tested myself standing and after 1 min I get anxious, by 2-3 min my palms get sweaty and my finger tips go white from the knuckle down, by 5 min I'm totally lightheaded and my body feels so heavy as if all the blood has drained down to my feet and isn't coming back up. My hands by this point are swollen like crazy and fingers shaking. After about 5 min I start to get panicky which doesn't help.

There has to be some sort of explanation for this, one doctor said the baby might be pressing on a main artery whenever I stand which restricts blood flow but then nothing was confirmed by any of the tests.

In a couple weeks I am going to be Matron of Honor in my best friends wedding. I'm mortified I might pass out during the 15 min ceremony:( I've told her how I feel but I don't know if anyone really understands how serious it is, I think i will need a stool to prop up against or a chair of some sort in case I don't feel like I'll make it:(

I could handle the 24/7 Nausea the first tri, but this is beyond ridiculous. Anyone else have any pointers or advise Please write back. Your the only handful of girls I could find online that describe exactly how I'm feeling and all my symptoms. there has to be some sort of explanation as to why we feel this way and please don't say "You're pregnat, everyone is different" I am so SICK of hearing that at this point...

I also forgot to mention I get really dizzy and my heartbeat seems to go crazy and speed up A lot when I'm standing for any period of time, as I said in my last post 5 min is my max:( I'm scared to try for longer bc I don't want to pass out.
