Career help (again)

I'm so stuck as to what to do! My dream job is to be a midwife, but as I'm only 21 I'm thinking it would be better to get a career in something that still fits in with family life until the kids are older. I couldn't imagine barely seeing them, missi g Christmases etc while they're so young for midwifery training. Not to mention how hard it is to actually get accepted onto the course!

So I'm considering a different path. Just wondered if anyone else works in a different health career? If so what doing and how does it fit in with the kids? I like the idea of radiography/sonography, health care sciences, pharmaceutical sciences (I like science), etc.
