cat scratch?

Hello everyone

I'm a bit concerned because my kitten has scratched Me quite badly and I'm not sure if I need to see a doctor or not?

Is there a risk if toxo from scratches or is it only if the parasite is ingested?

He's never been outside and is fairly young

Any help would be appreciated thanks

Not sure... did you call your OB? That is probably what I would have done...

Gave thwm a call and still waiting on Doc to get back to me, hopefully that means they aren't too concerned by it, thanks for your reply x

From what I was told, it has to be ingested. Also, if your kitty has never been outside they wouldn't have it. A cat has to eat rodents in order to contract it. But it's always a good idea to just give the OB a call.

I have 2 cats. I get scratched every now and then. They are inside cats but we have a mud basement so the satchel us 3-4 mice or moles a year.

I honestly have never worried about it. I still do the changing of the litter box as well.

I have 3 house kitties and got scatches a lot during my pregnancy, no too here!
