Well, here i am. Having posted quiet a few times on here about my recent discovery of cysts on both my ovaries..........i now discover i have high prolactin - this can cause irregular periods, or stop them totally and stop ovulation.

My prolactin levels have doubled in a monthDec -643, Jan - 1300.

Doc has said one reason for this could be stress. WELL OF COURSE I'M STRESSED......i had a mc in Oct, AF took 8wks to return, then Dec i find out about the pcos and now Jan, i find out about the next hurdle of high prolactin and the doc wonders why i'm stressed!!

Rant over

So any tips on how i can de-stress in an effort to reduce prolactin levels are much appreciated.

I've an appointment with a specialist on 2nd Feb, so there is some light. but i'm on CD48 and NO sign of AF so stress levels are pretty high.

If you stress you dont ovulate, if you dont ovulate you dont get pregnant, so guess what.............you stress cos your not getting pregnant after 18months! CATCH 22

I see your predicament!! It does sound very stressful.
I am currently having accupuncture and find that fantastic for de-stresing. It took me 13 cycles to conceive my first (who we lost at 22 weeks). I started acupuncture after loosing our little boy because I was so stressed and angry with the world. It really helped to reduce my stress levels and I conceived again the second month of trying (early miscarriage) but then straight away again after that (very cautiously pregnant right now).

I'm not saying it's the acupuncture that has helped, perhaps something in the first pregnancy kick started my body in some way, but it's the only thing that changed and I DEFINITELY feel sooo much more relaxed about TTC.

I second Lol78... I have been having acupuncture since I started on fertililty treatment last summer. I haven't had a bfp yet, but keep going because it really does help me to cope with everything. Definitely worth a try, I think.

Im having acu too, i strated my ivf a few weeks ago and its really helpin me x

And i've spoke to soon.

I have just found an Acupuncture Practioner local to me, who is registered. Explained to him what happened/happening and his is willing to charge me £20 for the first session and £15 for each session after.

So i am booked in for first Acupuncture session on Monday - feeling positive already!

That's great! Let us know how it goes. It really is excellent for relaxation, but do give it 2-3 session, I didn't really start to feel the benefit until then.

Enjoy...
