I read in the CBFM manual that the monitor detects your estrogen levels (high) and your LH surge(peak). I also read that your estrogen levels stay high after ovulation if you conceive. Wouldn't that mean the monitoring should continue giving me a HIGH reading if I in fact got pg? Just curious...

Hi, I've just started to use the CBFM this cycle. The monitor started asking me to use the test sticks on day 6 - I got high fertility on days 12 - 14 of cycle and then peak fertility on day 15 - on day 16 (today) when I turned on the monitor it still said peak fertility but did not ask me for a test stick so I'm guessing that it only requests the test sticks up to your first day of peak fertility.

I was thinking the same as you - but it doesn't look like it will ask me for any more test sticks - it would be great though if it did as like you say it may continue to show high fertility.

Have you started using yours yet? How you getting on with it?

This is probably something they took into account when designing it and prob part of the reason it doesnt continue asking for sticks for longer in your cycle.

too bad, that would be kinda awesome!! Maybe when they make a newer monitor, they can add that option...it could be a fertility and preg monitor all in-one! WHOO hoo....Then they will charge like $400.00 for it haha.

Mine asked me for sticks two days after my peak. I think it only uses 10 sticks in a cycle on average which would make sense why it isn't asking you for more sticks. I however, cheated the system and started it on CD8 so it's going to ask me for sticks later in my cycle. I wonder if I should do that every cycle? muwahaha. My peak days were CD13 and 14 as shown below. It thinks I'm only on CD12 today so it should prompt me for a couple more sticks? If that doesn't make sense I posted my results below

CD1-CD7 - No data from cbfm because I didn't have it yet.
CD8 - Low (Monitor thought I was on CD6- first day I POAS)
CD9 - Low
CD10 - High
CD11 - High
CD12 - High
CD13 - Peak
CD14 - Peak
CD15 - High (Today)

I agree though...it would be nice if it kept asking you to POAS and tracked your estrogen...but then again that would get PRICEY every cycle. :dohh:

Interesting...at least it works, right? Perhaps you are on to something though...it sounds correct since your cycles are an average of 30 days long so Oing around that time sounds right/on average. Get any more Bding in???

We might tonight. Last night we almost didn't BD at all because we had a small marital spat. Twas funny though because DH said (after I was annoyed with him) ..."so what we're not gonna BD? But your monitor says PEAK!"

Thanks for all the feedback girls! You always make me feel better when I start to worry.

Hope that your fighting didn't last too long. I hate fighting with DH. We just are at the point where we bicker and then get side tracked by something else and forget we were even arguing. -All hail the Bding- hehe

My cycles are 28/29 days ish, i got a peak on CD15 aswell.

Mine are more like 30-33 the past two months. I would think that means I should have O'd after you.... ?

Avistar - yeh the bickering passed pretty quickly. I can't stay mad for long.

Best of luck ladies!!!

I am the same way! I am mad for like 5 minutes, then I am over it...with most things of course ;)

Hi ladies,

I think this monitor is a mini miracle! I got pregnant the 2nd month of using it. On the 2nd month I only bd'ed on my first peak day as dh was away on my high day (only ever had 1 high day before a peak). I have been told that after you get your first peak, rather than use new sticks, you can trick the monitor and put an old test stick in! It will still give you another peak day and 1 high day, I didn't do it but I know a few people that did to save sticks. Good luck to everyone, there is a really good review site about this monitor, I will try and post a link.

xx

I love the monitor too. That's a good tip about re-using sticks after your first PEAK day.

I only got one HIGH day before my PEAK too and was asked for 10 sticks during my cycle. 10 sticks must be the average for sure.

My husband asked me why it didn't test for pregnancy too. The technology is there, so I'm not sure why they haven't designed it to test for both, but as you say it would make it very pricey no doubt.
